Hi I got my visa based on spousal sponsorship but when i landed , the immigration officer seized my passport and COPR saying a work permit had been issued to you 2 years ago but it never happened. It was my 1st time entry and they have asked me to report after 45 days at the airport. My PR application status changed from 'Decision Made' to `In process'.. I can't work or study till then.. I'm worried what will happen..

Yes i did go to a lawyer and he will get the details from the embassy as a respresentative in a month. I also realized after landing here that in my COPR last entry date was given as 16/12/2016 but i got my passport in 2017.
The security officers at POE told me that it was a fault by Delhi embassy and they will send urgent mail to them.
Has it ever happened before to anyone??

So are you saying that you got your CoPR a couple of years ago, but never actually landed and activated PR until AFTER the expiry date on the CoPR??
If so, then they were quite correct to cancel your CoPR as you must land and declare PR BEFORE the expiry date of the CoPR. Very likely you will have to go through your whole PR request process again.

I got my visa and COPR on August 1,2019 and landed on sept 19,2019

Until you actually complete the formal "landing" procedure and have the signed COPR in your hands, you are just a "visitor" and have no right to work or study.
It would be better if you used the word "arrived" instead of the word "landed", as this is the cause of some confusion. You only "land" in Canada when you are actually admitted for the first time as a PR.
Everything depends on the outcome of the CBSA investigation. It's unlikely that you will be deported but you might be requested to return to your home country to follow up with the issuing visa office.

A sponsor can withdraw up until a person lands. There was a case on the forum years ago where the applicant was on the plane to Canada to land when the sponsor withdrew.
If your sponsor withdrew, the PR app will be cancelled and you can expect to be told to leave Canada.
Do you think that this is a possibility? You would certainly have been at least partially aware if this might happen....
