Permanent Residency through Spousal Sponsorship

Hi everyone!
I hope that you can help me with my current situation, considering that I can't really find any answers on the Canadian/Québec Immigration websites.

I am a Quebecer (born and raised) that recently moved to the US to get married to my American husband.
After much discussions, my husband and I decided that we would like to go back to Quebec so we can be closer to my family.

I understand that I have to apply to become a sponsor, and when I'll be notified to, apply for sponsorship in Québec as well. (and everything involved with it)

But on the Canada website, in the section on "How to Apply", there's this:

To apply to sponsor your spouse, partner or child, there are 2 applications:
  1. You must apply to become a sponsor.
  2. Your spouse, partner or child must apply for permanent residence.
Send both the sponsorship and the permanent residence applications together at the same time.

I cannot, for the life of me, find the appropriate form to apply for permanent residence to send at the same time. Considering that both my husband and I are currently living in the US, what form should we use? He has never lived in Canada either.
What should we do? I am completely lost right now and could use some help, thank you!
(Also,I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong place!)

It's all one app.

You should move over to the Family Class section of the forum.

Thank you! The other information that I found on the Canada website was definitely confusing!
Seems reasonably clear. Get your pack of forms here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

Yes, as already said, it is a two stage process, but it is one application. You apply to sponsor AND apply for PR for the other party in one application pack, they are just saying that FIRST, they assess you as a sponsor, THEN they asses your PA.

If it is any consolation, I too asked the same question what seems like a million years ago, but was actually only in 2013!!!

I have to admit, after going through so much with American immigration, I tend to question everything by double and triple checking everything! Haha

Thank you for the clarification! I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who wondered the same thing in the past.

Unofficial guide here aimed mainly at British / Canadian couples, but pretty general for outland spousal sponsorship. Describes the whole process pretty well.

Sorry for any typos, one too many Labatts!!
