How long does it take to receive first AOR?
A person I know who applied in September last year said it took just under a month to get the AOR once the application was received.

How long have people's application packages taken to arrive? We sent ours from the UK on Friday Sept 13th with track and signed service and according to the tracking website it still hasn't arrived yet, 8 working days later - is this normal or should I be worried? According to the site it left the UK on the 14th.

Mine just took two days but the fact that I sent it from Canada itself maybe why it was quick. 8 working days is a lot of time, my advice would be to contact your courier company. My wife sent me some docs from India and it took only 4 days to reach here including weekend so 8 working days is too much

What was the total timeframe for that person to get COPR? I would think with the xmas and thanksgiving holidays it would take longer for our application to process.

4 months! It was crazy quick - that was getting a Swiss fiance into Canada.Given that our expected time frame for AORs is already almost twice as long as it was for her according to @Shehzad.P, I think our applications will likely take a bit longer.

Did you send the application from Japan or from within Canada?

My wife has a Canadian PR. She will sponsor me in August 2020 once she finishes her education as at the moment she is living with me outside Canada for study purpose.

Right now, I have two options. First, I wait until my wife finishes her studies and sponsor me. Second, I apply immigration through PNP or Express Entry Program.

Which option is better and easy?

Regards.
