Hi all,
I was filling in the CRS tool recently and there is this line for the job offer:
8) Do you have a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment?
I currently have a work permit for the company which send me over from abroad and for which I am working for since half a year. It fulfills the criteria of Skill Level A and is LMIA exempt, and valid for 3 years.

Now when clicking for further details, there is a sentence which is contradicting:
Your employer doesn’t need an LMIA to support your job offer if you have been working full-time for the employer on your work permit for at least 1 year.

The company listed on my work permit is a subsidiary from the company I worked for abroad before coming to Canada. Therefore I have only worked for the company on the work permit for 6 months.
Does that mean that for Question 8 in the CRS tool "valid job offer", I can only click "yes" if I wait for 6 more months? Or do I not need to work with that company for at least 1 year since I have the work permit?

Thank you very much in advance.
Chris

You do not qualify at this time.

You need to work in Canada for a full year for your employer before this will count as a valid job offer and you will qualify for the 50 points. The fact you worked for this company outside of Canada is irrelevant. You need to complete a full year of work in Canada.
