Hi, All

I have applied for NBPNP (EELMS) last month and still waiting for an invitation and I also have called their office several times for update regarding my application but there isn't any response as their system is upgrading from manual to online. My score is 74/100 and I have fulfilled all the initial documents and waiting for their invitation, I am desperate as my Post Grad Work Permit is expiring in the first week of Oct 2019.

So I am wondering if anyone could guide me what should I do? Should I apply for Canada Visitor Visa to extend my stay? Will it affect my current application if my status is changed from Work Visa to Visitor Visa?

Oh dear. I assume you mean the NB Express Entry stream - 6 to 8 weeks processing time... There is a small chance you will get the nomination in time (I assume you need the points to get an ITA), but unless you are ready to submit your PR application already, that probably wouldn´t help.

So, the bad news - if your PGWP expires before you get a chance to apply for the BOWP, you will lose your eligibility for the BOWP. One of the requirements for the BOWP is to have a valid work permit at the time you apply.

In most cases, I would say apply to change status to a visitor, to maintain your legal status. But that won´t help you much, as you will not be allowed to work and will no longer be eligible for the BOWP. You might also lose your eligibility for the NBPNP, since it is a requirement to be employed.

Have you looked at applying for an IEC permit? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/iec/eligibility.asp

RE IEC, I have given you the link, I am not going to regurgitate it for you : ) The opportunities vary by citizenship, so you will have to do your homework. It is a distinct program based on bilateral agreements, any previous job offer letter is useless *BUT* (again, depending on your nationality) your employer may be willing to help you qualify under the young professionals program (if you are eligible).

Did you even ask your employer to apply for an LMIA? Some big companies have pre-authorized LMIAs, it never hurts to ask...

The worst-case scenario is not so bad, if you have to leave Canada and work for a year back home, that will give you 25 points and you can still apply for CEC...

Use your company email to contact them. I did it one and they replied me right away. I sent email to this Entree.Express.Entry@gnb.ca

AIPP is hassle. Employer has to register to the system with many steps. I work in NB but I decided to get AINP instead. NBPNP takes forever

Do you guys recommend not to go through routes of NB Express entry route? I have an option to work in NB or in Ontorio. Considering the crazy crowd in the Ontario, I was thinking working in NB for getting the ITA. I don't have sufficient points for EE directly, considering the basic points of NB EE is simpler (I get 78/100) though I can consider applying there and if it gets through in 2-3 months it would be useful. Anyone here who has gone through NB EE PR program. I know the PNP program takes ages and not advisable.

It depends. If you like the small quiet town, NB is ur choice. But NB will make you signed a commitment to live there.

I am not clear on the commitment part, can you pls. clarify? From what I read if you have some association like Job or family or earlier studies in NB, they will nominate.

Considering I am going through a job route, what sort of commitment they will ask me, I am not clear?
What uif my job is changed or transferred, will they not allow me to relocate due to job requirement?

There is a commitment to settle down in NB form. It’s different from AB. That form is a part of application. You have to stay in NB at least 3 years. That was last time I read about NBPNP

That is interesting to know. Essentially what you are saying is 3 years of stay at NB after PR i.e. to my citizenship or all through from the day I start work.
Since I have a job offer, my application process may take another 4-5 months to receive the ITA and another 6 months so probably more or less 1 year will go to get my PR card. Post that I have to stay there for 2 years is what you are saying?
