Hi there, I would like to share my situation and see if anyone has a similar case. I`m here in Canada with a OWP valid until december 30, this permit is related to my wife`s study permit with the same expire date, she did a 1 year program with a COOP placement at the end, she also have a work permit for the coop placement.
To graduate she had to complete a certain number of working hours (coop) and she did it on August 30, the college sent us a completion letter with the transcripts on September 6, she was working until this date, and as soon as we got the transcripts we applied for her PGWP and my new OWP at the same day, this way we would be covered by the implied status until they reply.
To make sure they would approve my new work permit, we attached her job offer (Full time, permanent, NOC B) and 3 payslips.
The problem is, after that we realized that for some reason the college wrote in the letter that the completion date of the program was August 23, and her last payslip goes until August 30.
My question is, can they consider that illegal work since the college is saying that she graduate on August 23 and we send a payslip for August 30?
Does they consider the time we got the formal confirmation that the program was done or just what is written in the letter?
Please let me know if someone has the same situation, we did everything right to avoid any problems but now this letter can jeopardize our whole Canada Project.
