Online Application Taking longer than usual (Aug 2019)- what to do?

Hello All

Applied for TRV Online on Aug 6
Applied outside of Canada
VAC = Singapore
Application date received: August 6, 2019
Date of Biometrics Enrolment: August 8, 2019

Current status: Final decision - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

As it passed the estimated timeline of 13 days, I reached out to Singpore VAC on Aug 23 through web form to the email id: spore.immigration

They replied on instant as below:
Subject line: "RE: Vxxxxxxx (travel - 20 Sept) | xxxxxxxxx - John Doe - Visitor"
Mail Content:
" Thank you for your enquiry to the Migration Section of the Hgh Cmmssn of Cnd to Singapore.
Your application is currently pending officer review. We can confirm that processing is proceeding and there is currently no action required on your part. Please rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient and expeditious processing of all applications. We hope this information will be of assistance."

Facts:
I have traveled Canada twice before and my previous TRV visas had been expired, and I mentioned them clearly in the application answering "Yes" to the question "did you try to enter Canada before" and provided previous visa documents and travel history

Please advise - at this point, what should I do?
- Should I wait? then - how long should I wait?
- I intended to visit my relative who is sick, Is there any way to attach / provide emergency doctor's letter stating it will be beneficial for my relative if I could visit him/her sonner than later?

Question out of curiosity:
- When VAC replied they marked the subject line within bracket (Sept 20) - which is in fact the date I mentioned as my tentative date of visit, so considering 2 weeks for visa processing from my country to Singapore should I inquire again on Sept 6?

If you were in a hurry you should have applied on paper via CAN+. This is applicable for those who have been to Canada or applicants who possesses a US visa. Processing are expedited through this.

It is open to all as long as the applicant previously travelled to Canada in the last 10 years or the applicant holds a valid US visa at the time of their Canadian visa application.
