Name different in marriage certificate

Hi, I just noticed that when we sent my husband's immigration application in, the name on our marriage certificate is slightly different than on his passport and on the application. Specifically, on the marriage certificate his second family name is dropped. Example, the name Juan Luis Sanchez Lopez is on the passport, but on the marriage certificate it's just Juan Luis Sanchez. We didn't fill in anything in the 'alias' portion of the application - I just noticed this. Is this a big deal or will they make the connection ok?
