Hi,

Did you do something to speed up this process of remark?
As I said, I made the request through email, which might have saved 4-5 days... But on an overall basis, nothing special - I would say its purely random(They did say 2-21 days for the results...)

The success rate with BC is much higher than IDP. I wrote 4 times with IDP as the exam partner but unable to hit the 7 in W.
I then switched to BC. Got 7 in the first attempt and 6.5 in the second one. Anyways, opted to have W reevaluated and got the .5 increment.
Big thanks to BC to help me out from this IELTS trap.
Okay.. This is my second attempt, the first one was with IDP and I got a 7.5 in writing. I am confident that my writing isn't so bad, now when I read the comments I am scared is there any chance I didn't write to the point or anything. But i don't think it should be as low as 6.5, the one module I was confident is writing... Hope it changes, I will apply for the Revaluation tomorrow in the writing module...

Could you please provide the email ID you used through a DM. So I can try sending them an email as well. Thanks for your help in advance.

So gave my second attempt for IELTS. This time did it at IDP. Made sure that I did not mention Canadian Immigration as the reason for it.
Timeline:
Examination : 19 July
Result 24 July
L: 8.5
R: 9
W: 7.5
S: 8

Writing was the major task. I highly recommend Watching Jay in Youtube. He tells about the usage of Complex sentences in W1 and W2 tasks. I guess that worked for me. All the best to everyone else.
Hello, congratulations. May I know what is the logic behind not mentioning Canada immigration as the reason duing exam registration. ?

Does not mentioning the reason for taking test have an effect on score?!?

Thanks. Someone mentioned to me that this could be a reason why they deliberately give you a lower score, as they can judge you primarily on writing and speaking. Though I don't agree on that, but I didn't wanna take a risk. Thus, didn't mention immigration. I got a 7.5 in writing. But I think the reason for that was studying and practicing more consciously and using the tips available online. They are judging you on certain points, and if you have those few key words, structure and sentences, you are bound to go through.

I hope not. Someone just mentioned to me that they are hearing that BC and IDP are reducing the score to 6.5 as to make more money, as people who wish to immigrate will surely appear again. Though I don't believe it and very honestly it all depends on how much you have practiced. But I still decided not to take a risk. My previous scores were L:8.5, R:9, W:6.5, S:8.5. Even EOR didn't help. Thus, I didn;t wanna take a risk.

Completely agree with you. Took IELTS twice; first time I mentioned immigration to Canada, second time I mentioned some other random reason.
Took W 6.5 in both attempts. So I don't think the reason matters much, but still didn't want to risk it again.
You scored a great band in speaking too. That weighs a lot when you apply for EOR for sure.
My speaking was only 7.5 and although I have L 9 and R 9, I don't have high hopes for 0.5 increase in the writing part.

Hi,

I appeared for the IELTS- BC in Dubai. I got my scores a while back LRWS 8.5,8,6.5,7.5. As I am the primary applicant, I need a 7 in writing. I had previously written IELTS in IDP and got a 7.5 in writing. So I am quite shocked how did it go so low this time. Can you please advise if I should go ahead with the re-evaluation. How many days does it typically take to receive this result. Please advise.
I have similar case i also live in Dubai. I gave got two times 7 with IDP Dubai. But when i gave from BC( I need clb10 by the way) I got 6.5. But I have sent for remark its 21 days since request lets see.

Folks, I gave my IELTS CD test(GT) @ IDP 17-Jul-19 and got my results as below:
LRWS - 9/7.5/7/6.5.

I applied for EOR for Reading and Speaking... I got a mail that there is a change in score... I understand that Reading will not change... Does it then mean Speaking scores would have changed? - Any idea...
Applying for reading is useless it is all computerised

Hello everyone
I sat for the 29 June GT exam under BC and got the scores for LRWS as 9 9 7 6.5. I was worried about the writing component as people usually get stuck at 6.5 in it. But, the result was a shocking one as I got 6.5 in Speaking which I was more confident about. Filed an EOR on speaking on 13 July and got acknowledgement on 16th. Didn't hear anything from them after that. On contacting them today, they replied that EOR is being under process and is currently in UK. Hoping for an increment in speaking as that will push my crs score to 465.

Since you sent the remark 21 days ago you might receive it in the following week for sure right...do let me know the outcome.

Did you get an acknowledgment from BC when they received your EOR request?
