File has been untouched since May 9. Even call centre agents don't know why decision has not been made since my file has been marked to be finalized pending final review :)
That's really nuisance....... This shows the inefficiency......
I called so many times, but agent said to need to send a reminder. I called in the beginning of July, and the agent said, that I should hear something from ircc in and and a half month......
I have completed 9 months since aor......
Now it's really difficult to wait

Call Centre agents sent 3 remainders previously

1st on May 9th - Decision will be made by June 11th
2nd on June 12th - Decision will be made by July 3rd
3rd on July 3rd - Decision will be made by July 26th

Agent offered to send a fourth one yesterday but I declined it, he still went ahead and sent it anyways :D:D:D

4th on August 2nd - Decision will be made by August 29th

I know for sure when I call them on August 30th, they will send another remainder and give a due date for end of September :D:D:D

Welcome to the never ending cycle :cool::cool:

Hi, can someone pls. advice here.

I had the required funds in the form of FD and uploaded bank certificate stating those can be liquidated as and when needed.

Bank statement was not reflecting any balance (as funds in FD only).

1. Is it ok to have such a bank statement uploaded?

2. Am i supposed to upload a new bank certificate post FD maturity date? Funds still in FD and not liquidated.
Does someone has info about this pls?

Over the last couple of months I have been doing intensive research about the new IRCC processing times with the help of this forum and Immitracker. I also spoke to a couple of nice IRCC agents who provided some valuable information regarding this;

This is the statistics I have accumulated and the new processing times as of 2019 are;

1) 50% of all cases are processed within 6-7 months
This is random and considered a jackpot!! There is really no pattern as to which applications can get processed within this time frame. I have noticed even cases marked RR in the 5th month receiving PPR within 7 months. So it is all pure luck!! You just have to pray you fall into this lucky category.

2) 80% of all cases are processed within 9-10 months
Eligibility Not Started/Met/Recommended Pass and also a few RR cases are processed within this time frame. So if your Eligibility falls under Met/Not Started then this is your new timeline. Not a lot of RR cases are processed under 10 months. However, there are lucky ones who do get processed. So do not worry if you have RR you could still get lucky.

3) 95% of all cases are processed within 14-16 months
Sadly, this is where the dreaded comprehensive Security Screening and Review Required folks fall into. Most RR cases should be processed within 12-14 months. I have rarely noticed a RR case go beyond 15 months. However, when it comes to SS the timeline is unpredictable as it is carried by CBSA and CSIS. Comprehensive Security Screening could last anywhere from 8-12 months. Applicants who fall under this category usually clear the other two stages(Criminality and Eligibility) by the fifth or sixth month. Even after 3 months if your security is still in progress then your definitely in Security Screening.

Now with the introduction of bio-metrics for all 2019 applicants, the security screening times have significantly reduced to 4-6 months. So if 2018 applicants have given bio-metrics then you could also be looking at faster Security Screening times.

4) Remaining 5% of cases are in black hole
If you are still waiting beyond 16 months then it means you have an extremely complex case or you just got picked up by the most laziest case officer in the history of immigration. I came across 3 cases from 2017 that are still waiting for PPR. On further investigation, I found that in one of the cases the spouse of the primary applicant was a felony and served 2 years jail time 5 years ago. The principal applicant cleared all stages but IRCC is taking their time with the spouse's admissibility review.

It is true that IRCC does process 80% of applications in 6 months on average and that was back in 2017. However, as express entry gained popularity, more applicants started flooding in huge numbers because of the relatively low CRS cut-off and as a result IRCC increased ITA's with each draws and in some cases they even conducted back-to-back draws to meet their immigrant goals. It seems they misjudged/miscalculated on handling these huge volumes of applications that were pouring in as they lacked resources. This led to the backlogs!!!

In order to tackle these backlogs, they reduced ITA's and cut-off back to back draws. Probably, why we had a 4 week gap between draws earlier this year.

CPC-Ottawa and CIO-Sydney are the two primary visa offices which process nearly 70% of PR applications. Recently, IRCC has recruited new case officers and also an interesting information I received was that IRCC has recruited plenty of students on a rolling basis as Program Assistants or Case Processing Agents to help case officers with their workload. This is one of many reasons why lot of proof of funds and work experience documents are marked as Review Required because unlike case officers, most of these students are not highly trained enough to understand such complex documents. Hence, they mark it as RR and leave it to the review of the case officer. Therefore, RR should not always be considered as a bad thing :)

Processing times will definitely improve in future once these backlogs are cleared. Surely, IRCC must have learned from their mistakes and taken all necessary steps to prevent such a thing from repeating again.

Of course, not everything is 100% accurate. I have tried my best to analyze information gained through different means and provide insights. I hope this information is found useful :)
This is really great! Very informative. Must've taken you ages to do haha thanks for sharing! I've also been following immitracker daily, and I've also noticed that the amount of people in the backlog drops once it's approaching 10 months... Hopefully that's what will happen to November applicants! In that case, as it's been said before in this forum, by September most of us should've been cleared.

Even I am surprised so many cases are still pending!! A little bit of comfort to see many similar cases with Eligibility as Met :)

I believe they should start clearing some of them from next week :) Let's wait and see :)
Do you say this based on what you've researched or is it just a guess? I've been hoping that "next week" will be our week for soooooo long, it's getting sad now

Can anyone tell me that what is the difference between recommended passed and review required. Or recommended passed and met
Recommended Passed and Met are similar and mean that a case processing agent is satisfied with your profile when it comes to Eligibility.

Review Required is a recommendation when a case processing agent has questions or is not sure about certain documents or things in your profile.

@SithLord The information on the processing % and timeline was spot on .. That has sadly become the current trend for the so called 6 month express entry for now till IRCC is out of the bottleneck after clearing all the backlogs from previous rash mistakes which i think they have learned from..
Anyways there is a large pool of candidates from 2018 that are undergoing sleepless nights over mismanaged expectation and since we are here sharing information and consoling each other - Lets hope for the best that we all get out of this black hole situation..

As mentioned - 9-13 Months seems more likely for RR cases to get cleared.. Especially taking into effect the medical expiration dates which is crucial .. PPR lies around either remed/ med extension or closer to med expiration - most likely the earlier two..
Hence lets hope for the best for ALL..
I have never seen an online forum group well knit to each other .. :)
I have been wondering about the medical thing as well for a while. The re-med/extension seems to random and totally depends on the case officer. But it is a
Definitely very crucial and a strong indication of PPR.

I'm just not sure whether they look at cases that are nearing medical expiration dates or after medical have expired. A lot of people from September and October said their medical were either extended or remed a month or two before expiry. My medicals expire on Oct 16 so in the next couple of weeks someone definitely has to look at my case or must get some sort of notification.

Let's see!!

It is almost like a lottery when an agent picks your file. I think if your file gets picked it is probably a matter of minutes the officer will approve it. But, sadly it hasn't happened till now. This aspect of the process can easily be fixed by IRCC and I hope it gets fixed sometime in future.
Waiting in limbo is never easy. I just hope your and wait of everyone here ends soon.
Two months ago, it was super frustrating but now I've made peace with it :)

I am expecting to celebrate 1 year anniversary so I will be surprised if they send me PPR before then lol :D

It all began in late May when I was super frustrated haha as weeks went by I just made peace with it and started digging deeper trying to find out how much longer these people can delay it :):)

I do believe that by September end, majority of us should be cleared. The remaining ones should be in SS
