PR with spouse

I am planning to apply for Canadian Express Entry along with my wife.
Because of my education(2 or more degree/diploma-ECA in progress) and IELTS(CLB 9), I am getting somewhere around 465 in CRS calculator, if I mention that my wife is not coming with me.
However, if I state that I am coming with my wife, my score reduces considerably because of her low IELTS score.
Apart from she giving IELTS again for a better score,is there a way by which we both can move to Canada together with PR? What is spousal PR? How is it different from sponsoring my spouse? Can it help in my case?

If you can't improve her scores, you can add her as non-accompanying and come to Canada as a PR. Then, you can sponsor your wife under the Family Class.

However, this will require the two of you to be separated for about a year. You will have to stay in Canada to sponsor her, and unless she already has a Canadian visa, it will be extremely difficult for her to get one to come visit you. You can visit her, but only for about 2-3 weeks in that one year; you cannot stay outside Canada for too long or else the sponsorship will be cancelled .

Hi Goose,

Need some clarification. In which stage do we need to mention as "spouse non-accompanying". Asking this because, one of consultant suggested me to leave Marital status blank while filling the form and apply. Later marital status can be updated post receiving ITA. Is this true? or Is it suggestible to do this way ?

This is immigration fraud.
stay away from that consultant.
also you cannot keep the field blank. is your consultant WWIC ??

What 21Goose means is in your express entry profile you have to mention non-accompanying spouse.
then get pr, come to Canada, sponser your wife.

ppl are doing this but its not easy.
My neighbour is a dentist he has come through this route.
he misses his wife everyday. (wife's trv also got rejected)

That consultant will get you banned for five years. Drop him immediately .

Never lie on any immigration form. You have to fill out the forms accurately, honestly, and completely, and there's a place to mention whether your dependents (wife, kids) will be accompanying you or not.

Even if you say she isn't accompanying you, she will have to undergo a medical test, and you will have to provide her Police Certificates. However, she will not get a CoPR/PR status when you do.

If you don't mention her on your forms, even if you get PR somehow, two things will happen

1. You will never be able to sponsor her
2. Your PR status can be withdrawn and you can be deported.

So sad of him...
My CRS without accompanying spouse is 424 and with spouse 406. In both the scenarios am not scoring current draw cutoff. I am in dilemma if i have to accompany her or not.

It's only me giving IELTS. My spouse cannot. Itseems like the only chance i have got is through PNP. What are the chances of getting from it for this score ?
Why can't your spouse take the IELTS? And have you maxed your own scores?

If you can't increase your scores, you don't really have much chance via Express Entry - you simply don't have enough points.

Your chances for a PNP invitation aren't super high either. PNP nominations are mostly for people with Canadian study/work, or in certain jobs, or with family in Canada. Even there, they usually want to invite younger people. The older you are, the lower your chances.

You can read up on all the PNP programs and see if you are eligible for any of them.
