Hello everyone,

Received response from Mr. Ralph's office.

Dear Asad - I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Feb 4, 2019. It is in London.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Eligibility and criminality are passed.

Security checks are not initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Dec/19.

Any idea how long security will take?

I am not able to raise a web form. When I look into the url after I click on the web form hyperlink on my application home page, it shows some 'technical issue'. Can anyone help?

I have been trying to contact CIC via phone as well. But due to high call volume they are not able to connect me to an agent :(
One thing you can try. It worked for me twice. Hope it works for you as well. Just when the prompting starts about pressing '0' and talking to an agent, at that instant only press '0'. Don't wait for the message to get complete. Your call will definitely get connected.

I just spoke to an agent. He said that eligibility has been recommended to pass on my application while the security has not been started yet.
Criminality had been passed long back.
I received a Ghost Update on Monday.
AOR- Jan 6
They do not have any timeline on my application.

I am trying to form a hypothesis. Complicated applications take longer. Someone who is single and younger for eg would get his PPR much earlier. Also, people who have not spent time abroad, as there aren't multiple level of cross country security checks needed then. Also, foreign education could add time. People who get married in between the process or have kids.. etc.. they are the most likely to be in the elite club..

I am 31 and married but I have spent 4 years in UK studying and working. This is where I see my reason for delay in the processing. Also, someone who has had multiple job changes etc might be a potential Elite.

Its my observation, I could be wrong.
The thing is I'm 27 and I currently reside within Canada (Vancouver) and have been for the last 7 years. I studied here for University and have been working for about 2 years. I am also a single applicant but I am going to be part of the Elite Club soon.
