Yes
Not even a little bit true. I've completed the process. I'm outland in the UK and was able to call as often as I wanted. The fact that you don't know how to use the services available to you is your problem not mine =P

And yes, my PPR and COPR were handled by LVO but I guess I must just have been talking to ghosts this whole time.
Truth is you probably dont know jack shit and just running your mouth trying to look smart.

I also couldn't get any update on my application when I called, they claimed that they could no longer see my file because it had been transferred to London VO since end of March.
Are you sure that your file was at London VO when you got updates? If yes, and if you don't mind, please share how you were able to contact London VO, it'll be beneficial for a lot of us here. Thanks.

Apologies in advance if this is not the right forum.
My husband is waiting on his letter of confirmation. The process started in Canada Sept 20th 2018 and we received confirmation his file was sent to London April 2 2019. In June they were not satisfied with the police report as it said on the police certificate 'No live Trace' annotation which I thought at time of receiving did not read well. When he was 20 he received a fine for a drunk and disorderly no jail time just a fine. This all had to be explained to London. All that info was sent in March 20th. We are now waiting. Has anyone had anything similar happen

You are in the UK, of course you can directly call london visa office, but just cuz ur in UK doesnt mean everybody is, dont be stupid. Oh yeah? you are a real expert in calling and inquiring ur status from them? Then why not share how its done and be ACTUALLY HELPFUL rather than beating around the bush n just taunting us.
Are you intentionally misreading my post or just stupid? There's no reason to call the visa office directly at all. IRCC has a central point of contact with all the relevant information for all applications

I STRONGLY recommend the below instructions provided by another userbof this forum. DO NOT CALL YOUR VISA OFFICE. IT'S POINTLESS. This line has information from all visa offices including CIO Sydney, Ottawa, London and others. I have confirmed this works from start to finish of the EE process for outland applications GLOBALLY.

Use google hangouts if you can. If not, a service such as Skype calling is your best option. Calling from a landline will cost you heavily.

Before you call, it's important to understand what the agent on the phone has access to. These are not the people processing your case and they can not see GCMS.

Ignore any suggestions that it's being reviewed or looked at, the people on the phone have limited access to information. They can see:

If the status is listed as not started (it will always say this unless it's one of the below statuses. There is no 'in progress' , unfortunately)

If the status is rejected/failed/refused

If the status is review required (which means it'll be waiting for a secondary review. This is the only thing GCMS notes are useful in identifying details of, otherwise they're pointless)

If the status is passed

If there is an additional document request

And that's it. For data security, they can't really see much else and they have no access to your file or what's in it. Nor the GCMS.

Phone (from outside of Canada [block caller ID]): 1 613 944 4000
Ask about,
Criminality,
Security
Eligibility

You can use these options (wait until it's ready to accept an option): 1 1 1. Then you'll get transferred to IRCC (the same as the 888 # inside Canada and you'll hear a male voice). Then you can use options 2 1 1 0 to get to an operator "fast" (it's the family sponsorship information menu tree but it goes to the same phone operators). If you follow the tree normally to get info about your application, you'll have to enter your application number, date of birth, and listen to a long read-out of its status before you get to get in a phone queue, and 2/3 the time it will just say "we're too busy. call back later" instead of putting you in a queue.

I have never once tried to contact a Visa office, it's never been necessary. IRCC has the relevant information for all offices about all applications.

To be clear, I did not call the visa office. I called IRCC on the same number you posted and also using 2110, the family sponsorship line (got the tip from USProgrammer btw) & wait time was approx. 15mins. YET the agent could not give me a current update.
When was your file transferred to London VO and when did you receive PPR notification?
Here's what I think happened in your case; your file was mostly processed within Canada and maybe was later transferred to London VO for PPR notification and COPR issuance.
