Hey. I am a doctor by qualification, but am employed as a non clinical professional for the past few years. I am working in program management, in the public health sector. I intend to apply for immigration to Canada, and want to know the scope of jobs as a non clinician there. I do not want to go through the tedious process of licencing there, so want to know the scope otherwise! thanks

Finding jobs in public health will be quite challenging. There are definitely a large volume of master and PhD students with public health degrees but only so many jobs to go around. Would depend on what kind of background you have. Do you have a research background? What kind of physician were you? Coming to Canada as a foreign trained physician can lead to lots of frustrations because you will be competing for jobs with people who have masters or PhDs in that area of interest and also licensed clinicians in Canada. Most IMGs end up going back to school. Will also depend on what kind of employment background you have and from where.
