Hi everyone.... I need a quick advice please.... I am a Software Quality Engineer by my profession. My CRS score is 454. I am a bit confused in deciding whether to proceed with OINP or not.
The reason for this is that in my EE profile my primary NOC code is 2173, whereas my Reference letter is based on 2283. And so, based on the NOC code I have received NOI from Ontario Province. Now, I am confused if I should go further with the OINP procedure or not. Kindly suggest how to proceed further.

First of all, please get your reference letter corrected and it should be based on your EE profile NOC code you're claiming for i.e., 2173.

Secondly, it's all up to you if you're comfortable with paying $1,500 for Ontario application, then you should go for it. If not, you would need to wait for atleast 4 draws to get CRS score reach out to your score (454). Ontario application takes 40-60 days for processing, so any how you've to wait for 2 months for ITA in both the scenarios. Choice is yours, do your calculation wisely!

Does he also need to show 6months balance with the gift deed? Or only the gift deed with the letter of explanation and affidavit?

Nope! Just the gift deed letter only. Maybe ID proof if needed.

Hi @NikSharma01 , can the whole amount required, be shown as gift deed?
For example we need to show 10 lacs for 3 family members, can this whole amount be from gift deed?

If I want to show my PF (provident funds) as proof of fund, then what is the process?

In my view, with 3600 ITAs being issued now, CIC looks set to be working on achieving their intake goals and surpassing last year's 89K ITAs. I am positive as atleast 94K ITAs would be issued and that would claw back the CRS to 440s. However, I won't be surprised if things go turtle; looking at how CIC has been stunning us all year around by deviating from the normalcy.

I created an EE profile on July 3rd with score of 445. I was expecting a better score in the writing part of IELTS (L/R/S/W: 8.5/9/8.5/7) and submitted it for EOR on July 3rd as well.

I just found out that I received a NOI from Ontario on July 12th. As far as I know, the IELTS scores are unusable while under review. I hope to get the updated (if any) scores within 4 more weeks, since they "claim" it takes 2-6 weeks to process.

Will the changes (if any) I make to the EE profile impact the NOI I received?

I tried looking for information on this on the Ontario website and have emailed them as well. I haven't received any reply yet.

It will be great if you guys can share any knowledge on this.

To avoid unnecessary delay in your Ontario application, you should call your concerned IELTS partner (BC or IDP), and ask them to cancel your EOR process.

Once they confirm, please proceed with your current IELTS scores. No need for EOR now, since you got Ontario NOI.

i’m still struggling with IELTS... how many times did it take for you? did you give them all in HK? PBT or CD?

I took more than 10 times, I even try CELPIP as well. Just never give up, and you will get it. From failing, you will learn what ielts actually looking for. Just follow what ielts wants. I wrote my test all in Canada, and I found out the computer-based is much easier.

One more point to add, just take it easy, I know it is difficult but to me that was the key. I had to take almost 12 times for almost two years before getting 8777. I recently took the test again (CBT) to see if I can improve anything better. Since I knew it was not gonna give me much in terms of crs, I was very calm and didn't even prepare for a day. I just went as if any other usual day for the test and I got 9/8.5/7/7 this time - holy cow, the score I was trying for for almost 2 years. My score is now 453 from 450. Only 3 points jump, but still it was worth it.
