Hi, I have a student visa and will be travelling to Canada for the first time on 15th August 2019. My destination is Halifax and my flight schedule is via Toronto. The flight will land at Toronto airport at 18:35 and my connecting flight to Halifax is at 20:00. This leaves me only one and a half hour for immigration at the port of entry and to face questions from immigration officers. Is this time gap sufficient? Pls advice. This is a single ticket. Therefore, please advice customs clearance will be done at the Toronto airport or Halifax airport.

Not enough time, give it 4 hours at least everything takes places at first port of entry, Toronto to Halifax is basically a domestic flight.

Your study permit will be issued at first port of entry. Have you already booked your ticket as the connecting time is short.
