2 days pending on my application.

I called CIC to check on the status of my application. The agent said that the security check has not started. Rest components of the Background check has been completed. He said that security does not usually get done in 2 days. I may have to wait up to August.

Do you guys have any idea how long does the security clearance take?

U may get it anytime once eligibility is met, did agent say that eligibility is done n was this ur first call to them? Any GHost update

You will get through just be patient! Can you provide the number you got through to?

Please try +1 (888) 242-2100, many times then only you will get through. Typically, 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm (IST) is the best time to call. While speaking to agent be gentle and ask very specific question to extract some information, else they will tell the same info which you see in your dashboard.

I haven't heard about anyone AOR Jan 2019 that got PPR from VO Sydney. I am in the same situation, AOR Jan 8, 4 days to go and haven't heard from them since March... Do you know if all PNPs go to this office? Also, do you think is worth keep calling CIC? Thanks

Sydney office has been very efficient for FSW-O as per immigration tracker (avg 100 days) so I had lots of hope from them but disappointed as it has crossed 5 months now.

Calling helpline is just for mental satisfaction because they can’t expedite the process neither they can give you exact timeline.

No ghost update. He had said that they would evaluate the eligibility after the security check.

What is the status of your background check?
If real IP2, then your file is awaiting final review by the officer including eligibility after this pending security check for final decision...this is my way of understanding their response.

Very confusing to know the exact status from what we hear from them, if u think otherwise y will someone put all these efforts of checking criminality and security if he or she is not eligible in first place

I just called CIC and got to know that my security check has not yet started, Eligibility is "review required" and criminality is passed. Agent couldn't give the detail about what is review required in eligibility. Agent insisted to wait for 6 months timeline before requesting for any message for reviewing officer. Now 25 days to go, I am not sure what will happen. It is testing time....

I got 3 GUs in the past 3 days.

But somehow I do not get any update on either ECAS or MyCIC.

Can someone tell me is this security screening ?

My file is at local office.

I have been in IP2 for since some time in April. Similar situation to you. Only Eligibility has not started and I have 15 days to go.

Eligibility 'review required' means it has already started, but require some extra verifications for final decision which is not relatable to 'not started'. The security and eligibility can be parallel checks when the eligibility is met already...again this is my take on the system

Previous status shows med done on 3rd april but my son who is in canada his medical exp on 23rd june after that medical shows
We don't need your med
We called cic the agent told us if you received med request then only re do medical . Its 4 ,5 days passed and we don't received any request from cic nd our application shifts to ottawa from novascotia
Iam tensed what will they do next its 19 days left only.
Plz suggest expertise

I got below ADR three days ago for my two family members. Is it a good sign? When should I expect PPR?

" Client Information: Our record indicates that we only have a copy of your passport that expires on the 2019/11/19. In order for your passport expiry not to affect the validity of your visa please could do you provide us with a copy of the biodata page your renewed passport. This must be received at this office by: 2019/07/07 ".

Please note that I had already submitted their renewed passports through webform in March, 2019?

this is definitely a good sign...
do as they have advised even if it requires you to resubmit the documents as per my opinion...
however, before doing so, if you have any confusions , you have every right to seek legal opinion on this...
