There are no possibilities to apply from Nigeria directly.

You must either travel to Canada on a tourist visa (TRV) and claim asylum once you are here.

Or you must leave Nigeria and go to a different country. Once you are there, you must officially be recognized as a refugee by UNHCR. UNHCR will then decide where you will be resettled.

On what basis will I claim it (refugee) and is the process a smooth ride?

What makes you think you are a refugee? What’s the basis for your claim? If you manage to get a TRV to Canada, expect it will take about 1-2 years to determine if your claim is valid. And no, it’s never guaranteed to be a smooth process.

You have to show why your life is at risk. If you don’t know why you are being persecuted and don’t have concrete proof You are most likely an economic immigrant.

If you don't already know the answer to the first question, you don't need asylum. No, it's certainly not a "smooth ride".

Don't let immigration consultants fool you. Getting into Canada is literally impossible without years of DOCUMENTED abuse to show in court or an advanced technologists diploma or advanced degree!! Plus, even if you have that we carefully check to see if the labour is needed in that speciality. You don't just, "show up".

Am a Nigerian, my case is that there are series of killing within my area and am been threatened to join a secrete court that if i fail i will be killed no matter where i run to.

You cannot apply for asylum directly from Nigeria. To apply for asylum in Canada, you must either obtain a tourist visa (TRV), travel to Canada and apply for asylum once you are here. Alternatively, you must relocate to a different county and be officially recognized as a refugee once you are there by UNHCR. UNHCR will then pick the country where you will be resettled.

In my case do i have a smooth ride because am scared of my life and i don't know how long this will take, please i need your advice. I wish to seek asylum in Canada.

The answer has already been provided above. You cannot claim asylum directly from Nigeria.

If you are able to travel to Canada on a tourist visa to claim asylum here, the process is quite long (2-3 years) before you will know if you are accepted. It's impossible for any of us to say if your refugee claim would be accepted by Canada or not. It may be or it may not be.

If you want to obtain a tourist visa to travel to Canada, you will have to apply for this on your own. It can be quite difficult to get a tourist visa approved. You will have to show that you have strong ties to your home country (job, property ownership, etc.) and also show that you have enough money to pay for your trip to Canada. Typically there is a high rate of refusal for those applying from Nigeria.
