Is it always like, first "Decision Made" appears in ECAS and the applicant gets email invitation for oath ceremony, or one can get email invite even if her/his ECAS is still in process?

Logically its always DM first and than oath invite but sometimes people get oath invite even if it still says in process and those are cases of same as test day or next day oath ceremony

Hello Forum,

Thanks for setting up this forum - I have not received any updates from CIC for many months.

This is what the status I see online:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 30, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 6, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on November 16, 2018.
It has been a 10 months now, but I have not received any updates from CIC. Online show "IN PROGRESS" all the time.

Do I need to worry about?

Applied from : Mississauga, ON

Thanks
Kathir

From what I understand, 12 months is the average waiting time.

Hi,

Anyone from Ottawa received invite for Oath Ceremony?

Thank you.
Wrote test on June 13, ECAS still shows "In Process" with three lines. The officer who interviwed us adviced that we will most likely receive oath invitation within 2 months time via email, which is mostly likely 2 weeks before the actual oath date.

I did write my test on May 15, 2019, I did not receive any information, my ECAS still shows three lines.
I am looking forward to phone them.
They don’t update ECAS for everyone I guess. Mine is three lines as well. There are 6 Oath ceremonies for the month of July in Ottawa. Hopefully, you receive your invitation soon.
