I am the cosigner and have 3 years of tax returns, I can file a zero tax return for her before she was in Canada. Does it even matter?

Over all income for both of us for 3 years is already meeting the threshold.
Quoted from instruction guide "You and your co-signer must each provide proof of income from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the 3 consecutive taxation years immediately preceding the date of the sponsorship application." However, I will suggest, you should talk with IRCC regarding your situation.

Hi Friends,

I didn't have enough space on 2 of my forms, so I attached an extra A4 paper. Should I write on the previous page to "continue to the next attached page" or should I put a sticker in between?

Thanks for your helps,

it is with great sadness my application has been denied Although I made it for 2015-2017, I was short of income in 2018 due to a period of unemployment which is out of my control, at the same time my wife was on mat leave and our combined income is still 60% short of what needed only in 2018. Although I thought that I can use either 2015-2017 or 2016-2018 to meet and choose to submit 2015-2017, it is required to meet for 2018 as well regardless of option selected and supposed to meet in this year as well until the application is finalized. Unfortunately nothing I can do at this point, I have resigned to fate, I wish everyone success and it seems like my journey need to take 3 more years to make the next chance.
Very sorry to hear that @karthikramda

If you had money in your bank account ( Assuming you have) - you could have shown other part time income and pay taxes on it just to meet the LICO requirement.

is that possible?

like if i have income more than whats needed for Year 2017, 2018 and 2019.

but if i'm short of 10 thousand dollars for year 2016 can i show a part time income and pay taxes to cover that up?

Sorry to hear that, but CIC clearly mentioned that you have to maintain the income level for 2018 and subsequent years, even if you are eligible for 2015, 2016 and 2017. If not, then you are ineligible and your file can get refused, which happened exactly in your case.

Hello All,

Quick question for you, I am sponsoring my in laws and my wife has tax returns for 2 years as she is new to Canada, I have tax returns for over 3 years with plenty of income to sponsor.

Will that be okay?
No
Your wife will sponsor her parents and you’re only a co-signer she needs to provide 3 years of income tax assessment not 2 even you have 3 or 10 years. It is her parents not yours.
Please wait for another year because it will be just a waste and taking others chance specially eligible applicants.

Thanks for your helps,
You should put the same headings as the original form and put the person's name for whom the information is provided at the top of each page. For example, if you are filling up additional family information, you should make the same table of information as the original form and put the person's name at the top of each page.

So this means that for linking application we do not need to wait until ecas shows up, right?
