Hello
can anyone help me I don’t clearly understand this message I got today does it mean that my application is going out of the time frame I’m a July 9th application

Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your email (see below).

The average processing time for visa applications applies if an interview or further investigation is not required.

Background checks or further investigation are necessary in relation with the processing of your and / or your spouse's application. Therefore, the time needed for the processing of this application has fallen outside the timeframe set initially.

The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act requires that each person applying for a visa to Canada be screened in many different ways, including health, security and criminality.

Often, delays in the processing of an application are out of our control as some processing steps require coordination with external authorities.

Our office will contact you and / or your spouse as soon as all verifications are completed, or as soon as more information, documents or an interview are required.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always frustrating to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure an efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications, including the one which is of interest to you.

For future reference, in all correspondence to our office please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number

Sorry buddy, you should expect a considerable delay here. I'm worried I'm in a similar position...

I know it can be very frustrating and stressful after waiting for so long and get such messages, but cross your fingers anything can still happen within the next few weeks, keep praying and things will turn around .. but am very sure that they are working on your Aplication.. can you share your timeline please so I can have some insight into what is going on and your VO .

How long does it take to get CSQ (Certificat de Selection du Quebec) request?
You would normally receive a letter stating that you have to go forward with CSQ some weeks after it gets transfered to your VO, unless they work differently. It will take approx. 1 month to receive the certificate(about 2 weeks following payment on your credit card). You will also receive the instructions on how to send the document to your VO (electronically or post service). It may be different from a VO to an other.

Hello everyone, just thought I should share this info, we got passport request two days ago, the local visa office is Mexico City and God willing, my wife will be sending her passport today, here's our up to date timeline:
Application received: July 26th, 2018
AOR1: November 21st, 2018
Decision Made on Sponsor: February 19th, 2019
Medical Request: February 25th, 2019
I don't remember the medical passed date and GCKey indicates November 18th, 2018 which is not true, it was close to early March as my wife had to go through some bureaucratic hurdles in our home town
Sponsor Approval: February 26th, 2019
CSQ Request (Sponsor approval 2): March 13th, 2019
CSQ Application received in Montreal: March 14th, 2019
CSQ AOR March 22nd, 2019
AOR2 (from Mexico) and request of CSQ: April 10th, 2019
CSQ Received: April 8th, 2019; this is the date on the CSQ, but it was actually received on April 11th, 2019 and my wife sent it immediately to Mexico through a web form and their email, she never got a reply from the web form, but she got a reply from the Mexico email dated April 24th, 2019. You don't need to do this because MIDI must transfer the CSQ to your local visa office, but we did it just to be sure.
Pre-arrival services: June 4th, 2019
Decision Made on principal applicant: June 5th, 2019
PPR: June 10th, 2019

Side note: we never got an email indicating that the background check had started, we just saw it on GCKey and the following day the decision made appeared on the PA, hope this helps anyone going through Mexico, best of luck to everyone !

What was the Oct.29'th correspondence about? They deemed that further BGC and investigation was necessary in your case. Something raised their suspicions. Did you order the ATI notes?

On October-29th they asked for police certificate and we sent it to them, but because we didn’t know if they received it or not we sent it to the visa office by email too just to be sure they got it....
