It could be pending just for the security clearance. Are you inland applicant and if so maybe they require the RCMP finger print which could help in processing your security a bit faster.

Thanks.. I called to CSC and asked about my status. They told me they have received approval on criminality check. they have not yet received approval on security check. Any idea how long they will take to get security approval and when Can I get PPR request.

I have applied for my note, it will take 30 days. It is very hard to wait so long.
Is your eligibility cleared?

I sent my documents to Ottawa to get the papers to do the landing.
Is there a way to track the documents on there way back from Ottawa?
Does my CIC account changes?

Yes ... I ve been through the forum and noted that they change your account to approved, then the xpresspost tracker get activated by a day or so, then you get your passports. Here more people like us:

Its been 8 days since they received my passports, so the processing time seems to be a couple of weeks but nothing sure

I am not sure honestly about the outland applications ... as I was just reading about the inland CEC.

But it could be either eligibility review or security clearance ... you could get it sooner than you expect ... what you gcms note says on the the eligibility?

I got an email for scheduled interview, but my profile on CIC website is not updated and still showing no interview needed. Does it happen to anyone?
It seems very weird to me, and for the record, I did not get any ghost update ever...

Hello folks,
Just wanted to drop my last update on this thread as I became a Permanent Resident today!

Please refer to my signature for my timeline.

Regarding the landing, I went to Boundary Bay since I live in Vancouver. I was expecting long wait times but it actually took me less than 30 minutes to do the whole thing. In a nutshell, the landing process happened as follows:

1. I went directly with the US border agent and told him I needed to flagpole to become a Canadian PR
2. Went inside the US Immigration office and the agent basically put a stamp in my passport (flagpole).
3. Right after that, I went with the Canadian border agent who asked for my passport and gave me a piece of paper. Then told me to go inside of the Canada immigration office.
4. Inside the Canadian Immigration Office I was asked for my passport, COPR and current work permit. Asked to wait for around 15 minutes and then they called me back to sign COPR.

That was pretty much it. Immigration agents on both sides were friendly and they knew what they were doing. No complaints at all, just pure happiness here! :)

Now I just have to wait for the PR Card, which according to CIC website is taking 13 days. That being said, I guess it's time to relax, enjoy the PR life and wait a couple of years to apply for the citizenship.

I wish you all the best on your PR applications folks. Thanks for all the support and advice provided. You guys rock!

Cheers!

PS - > If you live in Vancouver, keep in touch! Let's go for a beer to celebrate our PR, shall we? ;)
