I also got a notification this morning that my application has been updated. The notification was in reference to my Study Permit I submitted 3 days ago, but there was no change for that application. I opened my account and noticed the change was on my Permanent Residency application. The update was also in the medical section saying I do not need a medical exam. It previously used to say I passed the medical.

Also, when I opened my IRCC account in the morning, the "Current Status" section for the PR said "Submitted/Application Updated" but then when I signed out and signed back in, it went back to "Submitted".

Did anyone else see anything?

Today we visited our cic account and got surprised with the new format. We already passed the re-medical last april 29. But upon checking now it says that we passed medical on june 1,2018 which was our old upfront medical when we passed our application in may 23,2018. We are now clueless why the medical appearing on our account was the old one and now the latest medical result. Anyone of you in the same boat? I hope its really a system glitch

Could you clarify on your point you said that you've already passed your remedical last April 29. Was it your medical you passed on April 29 or is it remedicals which you have passed. Which means you have done two?

It is a glitch. I went for remed last Monday but the date of the old one appears. You passed the second medical exam last April and you havent got PPR yet?

Yes we have done 2. 1st was the upfront medical which we passed last june 1,2018. Second was the medical that CIC requested last march 28,2019 (Because the old upfront medical expiry date is april 5). In april 29 we got an update that medical passed (for the re-med). But now upon checking our cic account it says there that medical passed is June 1,2018 (which is the old upfront medical). We got surprised that instead of medical passed only, the date has been added.

Thanks for your clarification and it may be a technical glitch. Don't worry

Yes, I think they expired already because I did it in April 2018.

I submitted the same medical information when I applied for study permit any way, because an agent from IRCC (over the phone) advised that I did not need a medical regardless of the required documentation requested on the application portal and attaching my old one from 2018 would be okay.

Seriously? Have you called them to know what happened? They usually asked for remed when your application is about be be finalized, after everything is passed
No we did not call. We are outland applicant but we send webform last may 24 and the reply was “
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible. “
I hope to get PPr soon as others said that after re medical is definitely PPR. We just dont when it will happen so we are still in waiting mode

If you can you should really try to call, trust me. Maybe you've missed the email or something, sounds too long to be true. Webforms are useless, they just copy/paste the answers most of the time

I feel like we should start an advocacy group for Permanent Resident applicants once we all get it. I mean, it is a long, arduous process for anyone and forums like these are helpful to stay sane and know we are not alone, but we need to do more.

An advocacy group could help us streamline tips and tricks to help manage the wait times and submit applications completely and properly without having people pay astronomical amounts to consulting agencies and the like for assistance during the process. If anyone (like me) has a public policy background, we could help network and lobby MPPs to better improve the PR process.

What do you guys think?
