Employment letter for Landing procedure

Hello,

I have my landing procedure soon and they have asked me to show my current employment letter but I work part time and do freelance on the side. I can get an employment letter from my part time employer, for my freelance work I have to show them my bank statements, my checking account isn't that great currently because of my business overheads. Do they check if I have enough balance in my checking account?

Yes, you have to show that you meet the settlement fund requirement if asked. If you don't meet the requirement they can cancel your PR.

Did you apply under CEC? If yes, then you don't have a settlement fund requirement and don't need to worry.

Yes, I did it through CEC and I already provided them with my Previous Canadian employment 1 year payslips while submitting my PR application (but I don't work there anymore). Would that be sufficient and or would my current bank balance make a difference in the landing interview ?

CEC doesn't need to show settlement funds, but if they have asked for your employment letter you should bring that (or an acceptable substitute like your freelance contracts, letters from current clients etc).

The money in your account won't matter, but they probably want to check to make sure you met the employment requirements. Take along your previous employment documents as well.

Okay, I am taking my bank statements, my Freelance invoices that I provided to my clients along with my part time EL and previous Employment letter as well. Hope that should suffice the requirements.
