On May 9th the agent told me BG checks are in progress and it shouldn't be long before a decision on my case is made. Still waiting here for that 'won't be long' moment.

I think that the call center agents have no idea on what is going on. Same for GCMS as well, I start believeing that the security phase is out of their circle. So they randomly respond and they make you hear what you want in he call center. Honestly, i do not understand how security is not started at 24 days to the estimated deadline.

Your travel records post-AOR, including which visas you apply for and their outcome, are not of interest to IRCC. You do not need to report this to IRCC, unless you are prompted to do so.

Maybe, I don't know. It's possible because the US and Canada share pretty much all 'intelligence' with each other. Or maybe not if your 'info sharing' is already complete. It's technical. Don't worry about it for now.

Have just called them and Eligibility and Security have not been started yet!
Have ordered GCMS 50 days ago but haven’t received the note yet!

Don't lose hope...we all will get that " so called Golden Mail" eventually....I had my birthday last month but I didn't celebrated because I was sure that I would celebrate my birthday in Canada this year lol.... so i thought what's there to celebrate...28 years old.. unmarried,, left job,,,no PPR.... just a financial burden on parents....

Ive applied for me n my infant.. my husband was not accompanying since he had work commitments to be fulfilled.. but now hes done with his work .. so can i update his name in accompanying spouse or will it affect my application

Something like that, unfortunately the outcome is not pleasing here. Read through the following comments from legalfalcon on this
"This is a generic response. However, it indicated that your security is underway. Usually, security takes 1-2 months. But, for some applicants they may be in something called a security screening, which can take 6 months to a year. If you have exceeded 2 months post eligibility, then your likelihood is high to be in SS.

Further, CBSA, CSIS , RCMP and Ministry of Public Safety are involved in SS. Most important of them are CBSA and CSIS. So security screening is the worst nightmare. Hope no one here will go through this

Really hope so... I feel like i am stuck in some timeloop where my only job is to think about PPR and check my cic account for ghosts and check the forum and then again the loop continues
Sometimes I think i am totally obsessed and taking more stress than required but again there is a need to be stressed as my entire life is on hold

i swear i sit in front of lap top 24 /7 like as soon as i wake up... and open site like hundred time .... just so frustrated
