Thanks!

Hi everyone,

My case processing centre is Sydney.

I sent my application on 27th November, 2018.
AOR - 7 February 2019, where they acknowledged a receipt of my application + study guide.

Haven't heard anything since and nothing is available when I check the status online.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks!
Where are u from?

Hi guys, I don’t know if anyone had anything similar, just waiting on the phone with cic and decided to ask here. I checked my application status online and it says that they sent me an invitation for a test in April, but I never got anything. Does anyone know if that happened before?
Sometimes it lands in spam or junk folder and people tend to miss it before it get deleted. This is why it is important to also check ecas regularly. Hopefully u havent missed the date bcz u did not say what test date is mentioned there but they will reinvite u in case u did miss

Thanks for the reply.
They never sent me anything I checked through my whole email. The test date they put on Ecas has past, I called them today and their explanation was “there were technical difficulties with sending your test invite, you’ll get a new invite”. When I asked when as their “mistake” one was for the test in May. And they said we don’t know when.
I find it SO disturbing. Never heard of that happen to anyone else. What kind of “technical difficulties” could there be?!? Also if it was their mistake why is still on my ecas as if I was invited for a test. So frustrating.

Hi All, any news of test invites for applicants @ Scarborough location? Haven't seen any activity for a few weeks in the October forum either.
Hey Sailing on the same boat.... similar timelines as yours.
AOR 23 and IP from jan 29. No update after that.

from Ajax though. Not sure if it falls under Scarborough.

I have a question regarding the Mississauga office.

I have noticed that in May sheet Mississauga office is taking test and oath ceremony on the same day.

Is this a new trend we might see or it was just for few people?

Status changed to "Decision made" today. Did the test yesterday. Both me and my wife scored 20/20.

Test was much simpler than one might anticipate from doing the various online practice tests. Reading the Discover Canada book 2-3 times should be plenty of preparation for most. I had prepared a bunch of extra documents to take with me to the interview because I read on this forum that people with EU passports who show visits to EU in their Physical Presence Calculator can have trouble at the interview due to the lack of stamps in their passports. Even got some proofs from airlines that I have taken certain flights (beyond having printouts for flight reservations). But none of this was needed. The officer checked off a few entry stamps and asked us to sign two papers and that was it. After months of waiting this all seemed very fast and efficient :)

Those are people whose file got transferred to Scarborough

Is this normal?

I have taken my test on March 11, 2019, and client status long showed status "decision made", but it's close to June, and I am still not hearing anything for the oath. Do people encounter same lapse in time?

Hi Guys,

I was a big follower of the forum when I applied for PR back in 2013. During the citizenship process I wasn't following it that much. However, I wanted to make one last post in the forum before signing off. I applied for citizenship in November 2018. Got my AOR in late January and IP in early February. Couple of weeks back I got the test invite at the Scarborough office. Went for the test today in the morning and smashed a 20/20. The visa officer offered to attend the oath ceremony tomorrow. I believe they offered majority of the candidates who passed today a next day oath. So after a long 6 years journey (Application of PR to Citizenship), the process came to an end. The feeling is similar to seeing the last episode of GOT but much better! ;)

On the exam, I read every inch of Discover Canada and the exam was actually much much easier. I remembered things like, "PEI started their representative assembly in 1773"... but the questions were much more straight forward. Best of luck to everyone else who are still waiting. I'm sure you all will be there in no time!
