Hello everyone! I applied and was approved for an express entry. It has been in process for a few month already (after submitting all the documents after getting enough points). few days ago I received a message asking for me to provide a Police Certificate. It says I need one if I was outside of Canada for more than 6 month in the same country.

3 years ago I went to visit Russia for 5 month and a year after I went again for 2 month.

My question is do they mean 6 month at a time or all together?

Thank you

It will be counted as 5 + 2 = 7 months. You need to provide PC from Russia.

Example C: Several short stays in another country

Lailah studied in Spain between 2014 and 2017, for several 4-month study periods but she did not stay there for 6 months or more in a row. The system will not ask for a police certificate, but an officer may ask for one from Spain after she submits her application. To avoid delays, Lailah could ask for a police certificate from Spain and submit it with her application.
