Related to ECAS

I know many of us are worried about our application not showing up on ECAS. If you are worried just call IRCC at 1-888-242-2100

Choose 1 for English then 2 -> 1 -> 3 -> 0

When I called wait time was 30 minutes but there is a call back option. They simply call you back when it's your turn.

They asked me for basic information (PR / Citizen certificate #, Full name, Date of birth & country of birth)

I was told my application is under preliminary checks. However, the customer rep didn't know when the checks will be completed.

At-least I now know my documents are there.

Hello folks,
I just my parents application yesterday May 27, 2019 and is expected to be delivered on May 29, 2019.

My question is when AOR is received and when ECAS is updated?

My opinion is when IRCC verify the completeness of the application but if anyone has a accurate information, Please respond to my question.

Thanks in advance !!

Hey Guys

two questions

For imm 5768 , the financial evaluation for sponsorship . I have no cosigner, For question 16 I can't write N/A on the computer , should i leave it empty ? or fill it with N/A after i print

In the same form, the employment history section, I have had multiple jobs in the same year (not concurrent but in sequence). someone here mentioned to add all salary per year and draw brackets to reflect the income in NOA , does this stand ? or I should put the salary per each job individually and leave it to CIC to add it ?

thanks !
Add jobs seperate and put salary for individual jobs. I have done same thing. They can figure out total from your NOA

Thanks for replying

I have another question, I only know his last location in Canada and we are not in talking terms, is it okay to put his last location or should I put his address of Indian home
You better talk to him and get his current address! IRCC might not appreciate a wrong info, if they come to know.

If you want your money back because you were able to fill in the forms yourself a contract doesn’t work that way. They get to keep the money.
Unfortunately that is not the case. I had to complete the job after the agreement was terminated. One of the reason it was terminated I ve been asked to print and sign the form imm 0008 (11-2018) instead of (02-2019). she almost mailed that form I just accidentally happen to notice it.
There were several mistakes like that and i cancelled the agreement to avoid further distress.

i am submitted application soon for my parents.
they do not have a marriage certificate - so i have an affidavit (declaration) made and notarized along with their wedding invitation copy from 1972 :)

question is - in the checklist point 6 - proof of relation for primary (my father) to dependent (my mother) - do I still check this box?

i was thinking check the box and then write in pen next to it "Declaration and proofs attached".
There is already a cover letter explaining this.
Yes, check the box and write in-front of it 'Affidavit of Marriage' provided. And a cover/ explanation letter will help for sure!
Good Luck!

I fully agree, they call back and their wait times are fairly accurate. For those who are worried, the review process of your application (till you get AoR / ECAs etc is documented in Post 7747 on pg 517...

Hello

I read on this forum earlier that someone was clicking the option ‘yes’ in question 8 of 5768 i.e. giving the SIN no. And giving consent to IRCC to get information from CRA

And slap they are filling the form IMM 5748 and attaching NOAs of last three years.... is it ok to do this both together? What other people have followed... plz share
You can provide both the SIN and NOA, in-fact I believe that IRCC officer will appreciate that and might help you with processing time of file. Thats just my thought!

I have some doubts about the photos, would appreciate some help!

1. The guide says: the height of the face measures between 31 mm and 36 mm (1 1/4 inches and 1 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head).
The photos I received have the face dimensions of ~38mm counting from chin to the top of the hair. Would that be a problem? The hair adds some extra space, so unsure if this is a problem.
Should I ask for the new photos (kind of difficult, since they need to be mailed).

2. Photos came on the single sheet. Should I cut them into individual photos?

Thanks!
I would suggest you to get the photos with the correct dimensions.

Very sorry to hear about this unfortunate experience @Mesad.

To each his/her own and you know what's best for your family; but I feel that these forms are fairly straightforward and do not need immigration experts. Even if one retains experts / lawyers, these are basic forms, where data has to be supplied by you and they simply fill it in and submit. Had it been subjective interpretation of Immigration law, defending a case, etc hiring the experts would have made sense but otherwise, I see no real benefit...

I do agree that some things are not super clear but with a few questions on such forums, help can be obtained...
