Not until they have been accepted and have had their hearing, Having a Canadian child does not help your asylum claim so would discourage getting pregnant and focus on finding work.

Thank you for your reply. The child was born 2 months after arrival in Canada, she is now 2 years old. Her parents are still waiting for their hearing and applied for Canada Child Benefit, and wondered why they were rejected.

If they live in Ontario and receive the other form of child benefit ($230/month) that is also going to be stopped.
