Hi @legalfalcon

My brother has ECA: bachelors (4 years)+completion of college level certificate(one semester)- now my question is is it possible for him to claim two or more certificates? I saw a few people got PPR with the same combination and after claiming two or more certificates with it, but still is it risky? & even if he applies with it what might be his chance to get PPR? Any precaution he can take if he applies with it? your advice and detailed feedback will help tremendously. thanks
If WES has given you an evaluation, you can use it to claim points.

However, IRCC only considers "certificate" for "One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute"

A review required does not mean that there is an issue with your case.

You have provided addition information. However, you cannot submit self attested reference letters. You can however, submit letters from colleagues, former employees, supervisors on a plain paper which has your job duties.

If you have not done so, you can do it now.

All that the analyst has done is to ask the officer for a review of your documents before marking the eligibility has passed.
Hi @legalfalcon , thanks for your response. I did not have any other alternative at that time as the colleagues are restricted from signing any document, however, as per the gcms it states that the job description provided myself seems to be in line with declared noc category. My concern is I provided a job description letter however that was on a separate document and since I thought that wouldn't be enough I provided a self attested reference letter.

My question is will these lead to refusal of my application of any kind is there any case of concern to worry. Thanks in advance for your response.

Thank you for your response.

I am sorry. I am confused now, since I am getting 2 different answers.

According to Canada.ca, “accompanying spouse or common-law partner”, in respect of a foreign national, means the foreign national’s spouse or common-law partner who is accompanying him or her to Canada and who is not a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident. Doesn't this mean I am non-accompanying?

2) Are you saying although I am not accompanying, my husband can claim sibling points through my brother?

Thank you
There are two aspects to your question:

1. What do you answer in the profile or Post ITA for your spouse who is a Canadian PR or a Canadian citizen.
When you fill in your profile, you will enter your spouse as accompanying, and later in the form it asks, whether you spouse is a Canadian PR or Citizen, and this is where you answer yes.

IRCC defines Accompanying / non-Accompanying as follows:

[/URL]
Further as for claiming sibling points, IRCC defines sibling as:

However, to answer this correctly, you have to tell me of you are creating your pofile, or filling up forms post ITA.

Dear Legalfalcon,

Thank you so much. Just to clarify, I am a Canadian PR who lives in Canada but will be moving to be with my husband for the duration of his application, and will come back to Canada with him when his application is approved.

My husband has just created his profile.

As per your advice, we have modified his answers in the Express Entry profile. We selected yes for accompanying spouse, and answered yes to spouse is a Canadian PR.

Even though we selected yes for Canadian PR spouse, I was still asked for my english test results and work history. I have also been added as a dependant on the profile. Should this be the case?

The questionnaire also asked if I have Canadian relatives, which I do - my brother. This increased my husband's score by 15 points.

Could you please confirm we have done this correctly? With the siblings point, he is at 451 which greatly helps his chances of getting an ITA. I just don't want a situation whereby his application is refused because of the sibling points awarded because I selected accompanying.

Thank you again.

@legalfalcon

I submitted PR application, but now I have discovered that I entered wrong ECA number in both express entry profile and PR application (transferred from EE). I sent a CSE to explain, and provided correct ECA number and ECA report. Will they reject my application?

If you want IRCC to re-consider, you can send a CSE with the documents you have of the recognition of your college and request reconsideration.

Before you send your request, make sure that your educational institution was indeed recognised and you get all the documents to support your case.
Thank you so much for your response @legalfalcon , yes I have got the letter from the college about the name change and the new college is recognized and on the DLI list as well. However, the letter they provided me is on the college letter head (before name change) with required information will that be sufficient as it has all the information about the DLI number and new college name?

Another question as I mentioned earlier how accurate was the CIC agent information over the phone as he mentioned that the time period I studied in the college was not recognized, but college gave me the letter stating it was recognized during my study period and I am pretty sure it was there until 2017 dec.

Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If you were self employed, IRCC clearly states, self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience.

The RR is merely asks the officer to review the specific documents before a final determination on eligibility is made. If your documents have the job duties, that match the JDs of the NOC selected, then your are good. Also number of hours a week, salary, etc have to be mentioned. It will also matter the supplemental documents you submitted.

I am not privy to what all documents you have submitted, so I cannot say anything more.

No, as long as you send the correction, it will be fine.

I appreciate your response @legalfalcon, and for a fact I'm not self employed but I'm working a full time job and to have an insight on the documents submitted please see below.

1.Offer letter
2.Appointment letter clearly states date of joining and work hours
3.Job description was on a separate letter head and this lead to a confusion of me submitting the self attested reference letter
4. Payslips for 16 months
5. Income tax returns
6. Bonus letter
7. Refusal email from HR stating inability to provide a reference letter
8. Self attested reference letter.

I'm currently working there and they wouldn't provide a reference letter for currently working employee's and to my understanding it was that as per Cic's requirements I should provide everything on a single letter however I have all the information on separate company letterheads and this led the confusion of me submitting a self attested reference letter thinking that the above documents wouldn't be enough.

As you said it's just a mere review required for my case to be finalized and move forward.

My concern is my application shouldn't land in bad Waters, having said that I've proven to CIC on the efforts taken to prove my work experience and I hope cic doesn't discount that fact.

Thanks in advance for your response, legal and I hope for one last advice from you.

Dear @legalfalcon, it will be of great help if you could respond to my post above. I have also shared the list of documents provided and my background, criminality and security checks have not commenced yet and will all of this take time after officer review's my file and I do not have any travel history or anything for that matter. My documents are pretty straightforward.

Thanks in advance.
