How do you check the application status?

100% agree they should have asked for fees along with the EOI form.It would have just been a credit card number. I too thought of SIN as a mandatory but I believe SIN can only be asked for in certain clearly defined situations (e.g. someone pays you/ deducts tax, remits to the CCRA etc.). It cannot even be asked for during a credit check, so probably would not have been allowed for immigration purposes.

I don't assume that it will help, as a lot of people filled family size wrong following tweeter advise, and the family size was more in interest to sponsor form than actual family size. Can you imagine to refuse all of these people because of this.

That's what I said, they will process per order of arrival in their mailroom, as they do with all the other applications.
For example, if you have 2 sponsors that receive the invite on the first day, one of them sends the package the first day, the other one sends it a month later. The one that sent it a month later will not leapfrog those that sent it before him, just because he got the invite first

FULLY AGREE!

Why will CIC wait for someone who was invited on April 24th but sends the application package on June 28th vs someone who was invited on April 27th and sends the completed package on May 1st.

If they waited, it would be most unfair to someone who was on the ball and submitted a completed package early.

The applications will be processed in the order they are received by CIC and as they get assigned to Case Officers. In fact, there is already one whose application is in the "In-Process" stage.

Make it mandatory, both organizations are Federal Ministries....

OR

One can log in to CRA (using GCKEY) during the interest submission process to authorize CIC to collect /verify income (similar as allowing uFile to autofill parts of tax forms). If CIC can provide ufile access by such means it can certainly provide CIC this access...

I mean this is 2019, we are moving towards digital governance, such things should be used as tools to overcome complexity/red tape...If there is a will, there is a way.

I do agree, that the questions and definitions should be made clearer supported with examples, but this is completely doable.

If your parents never visited Canada and never previously applied for immigrations or any type of visa, then your parents don't have UCI.

AHHH! They do have canadian visa....I guess they have UCI...where can I find it?
