Hello Friends,
I have got a question. Do we need to Fill IMM 0008DEP (ADDITIONAL DEPENDENT DECLARATION FROM).?

My mother is Principal applicant.
My father is dependent.
I have filled up GENERIC APPLICATION FORM FOR CANADA (IMM 0008)

Please
Thanks
If your parents don't have more than 5 depen
Lasy year half the people didnt include their sponsoring parents under family size in financial evaluation form under > Employment history. And all of them got approved. And the people who mentioned and included their parents in family size also got approved. Either way its acceptable because the first question on financial evaluation form counts your family size in the box aniways. And according to some post on twitter IRCC said count people of previous undertakinggs and not the sponsoring parents. But works either way guys.
I hear ya! but at the end of the day the instructions are clear, count the parents and previous undertakings!

Now if someone wants to risk it by ignoring the instructions, its their call, i don' like my application done wrong, and that's why i suggest the same to all other applicants!

Perhaps i will be interested in the data which suggests that last year half applicants didn't put correct family size, could you please share it. Thanks!

Hello Guys

For Birth Certificate

I have got mine translated from a certified Canadian translator.
He has stamped the translation document as well as the photocopy.

Do i still need to get the notary certified stamp and certified true copy stamp ?

The translator is telling me that the certified translators dont require notary affidavit.

Hey Guys any advise on this please ......

They are not here to reject your application because you wrote your family size wrong. Since question number 1 under financial evaluationn already calculates family size and thats why people didnt include sponsoring parents in family size under employment history. So either way what you do they will understand. They just dont blindly go through the document without making sense. They will find out even by sponsorship application and they will assess income themselves.

You are right with your target statement but they will process all 27,000 together aniways. Because by the time they process all the application and make decision on some applications it will be 2020. And include 7000 under 2020 and just process it.

The fact we dont know is they might process applications through EOI timeline or Applications received timeline. Either way all of them will get their applications in processing.

Hello Everyone

I called CIC agent to check if they can see anything in system. My file was receievd on May 17, i have read all the threads here in which people have mentioned that the day canada post delivered it and the same day it was entered in the system. So i thought i should give a try and called cic today morning. But they can't search anything with sponspor name, uci and even with principal applicant details. He mentioned i should call by 31st may to check again as they allot temporary application number after receiving the file within 10 business day. Just updating here for other people who are in same situation as mine. Thanks.

Again, it all comes to, do you want to Risk the application for sponsoring parents for which you waited for year?!

Just because last year IRCC was bit lenient, it doesn't mean they will be the same this year

Anyways, Good luck to those who are filling the forms as per IRCC instructions Good luck to those also who are not filling the forms as per instruction!

I have a twitter thread where the agent asked me to not include sponsoring parents and only previous undertakings if any under the family size < Employment history.

Now tell me why ? This is why most of the people did that way. If anything that photo can be provided as evidence to IRCC.

Hi Friends,

Don't worry and don't panic for ECASE issue, I sent my package on April 30th and IRCC received that by May2nd. ( according to Canada Post signature ). Still nothing on ECASE either with my UCI and my parents .
I was worried as a lot of message referring to ECASE issues. Today I called IRCC agent and have a comprehensive discussion with her regarding this matter.
first of all she mentioned that they received a thousand of calls regarding this issue and she was just wondering why we are so worried abt that.
She was very nice and tried to look up the application with my UCI .
She confirmed that IRCC received the application on May 2nd.
She gave me temporary file number.
she told me temporary file number means they just opened the envelope and take the document and nothing else.
she told me it may take up to 3 month to AOR .
and you will get ECASE updated when you receive the AOR .
So lets hope for the best and don't worry.
there is thousand of application arrived and as she told me even the opening of thousands of envelope may take month for them.
so just be patient and don't worry.

I have done the same with IMM 5669 as my father does not know the precise DOB of my grandparents. I have entered Month 01 and Date 01 and will submit a letter of explanation explaining this. Will that be ok?
Just now read in guide 5772 that in case DOB is not known, fill '*', that scares me a little :(
Hello nis,
I have tried '*' for the unknown values in a date. But you won't be able to validate the form. You can rest be assured that you will be supporting this with an explanation. In the checklist, it is very clearly mentioned that you need to submit a validated form otherwise it can be returned. I understand that this is contrary to the user guide.
