Man I got my passport back like 12 days ago

Hi,

Anyone here submitted their passport at VFS Dubai recently (this May)?

I submitted mine 16/05 and just yesterday 19/05 got the text confirmation that it has been received at Canada Embassy Abu Dhabi.

I have an appointment for UK (tourist) on 02/06 and seeing most of the post here it seems it takes a month to receive the passport back. Also travelling to the US on 28/06, is it okay to request for passport withdrawal, and just send it again once I get back?

Just want to know if there has been any improvement on the processing time for Dubai applicants and if anyone has done temporary passport withdrawal.

Alternatively u can raise a CSE and request for faster processing by citing your commitments

It's been processed by Vienna Vo however vfs informed me that passport will be sent to abu Dhabi. I am a uae resident, however I have a small problem with sending my passport. I work as a cabin crew with 1 of the airline in uae and I need my passport to travel. Vfs said it will take between 15 to 30 days to get the passport back. Any idea what can I do as I need my passport for work purposes.

But seriously though this is a sticky situation, cause for the process the time is required, i know it usually won't take the max days, but there's always a possibility. I would suggest having a word with work (even though i don't really see a solution as traveling as a cc will obviously require your passport)

Dear All,

Today, got an E mail from Abudhabi Visa office. Requested to submit the following documents.

1. Schedule 4 (This was submitted at initial stage). However, requested again.

2. Annex A - NON-ACCOMPANYING DEPENDENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (form) -as follows

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue processing
your application, we request that you read the following and return the signed acknowledgment
attached to this letter within 45 days.

All family members, whether accompanying or not, are required to be examined at the same time as you.
The only exceptions are a spouse from whom you are legally separated but not divorced, or if you have
children for whom you do not have legal custody. These persons are not required to undergo medical and
background screening in connection with your immigration application. However, if they do not undergo
this screening, you cannot later sponsor them as members of the Family Class as they will be described
under section 117 (9)(d) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations which stipulates the
following:

117(9)(d) A foreign national shall not be considered a member of the family class by virtue of their
relationship to a sponsor if subject to subsection (10), the sponsor previously made an application for
permanent residence and became a permanent resident and, at the time of that application, the foreign
national was a non-accompanying family member of the sponsor and was not examined.

I have a query:
I am currently residing in Dubai and i have employment Visa.
If i i leave my job and the visa got cancelled and stay in Dubai on visit visa. Will that affect the post ppr procedure.. can i i still send my passport normally through VFS after receiving my ppr??

submitted mine 10 days ago, nothing so far. VFS tracking says processing in embassy.
