I do meet the income requirements for both parents. it's just that my father won't be accompanying my mother so she is the principal applicant and my father is the on the application as a non accompanying dependant. I am just confused about the application fee as if I have to pay 1040 for each of them or only for my mother
Yes, you must pay the application fees for both of your parent. And both of your parents must pass medical exam too. Once your application is completed (when you parents are approved as Permanent resident) your father can decide to live outside or in Canada.
There is no option, according to IRCC requirements, that allow a single parent while in legal marriage and alive, to be separated from the other.

I am in the similar situation.
My Dad is seriously sick and is bedridden. I got the invitation and was excited to bring my Mother if something happens to my Dad in future.
Can IRCC consider my application only for my Mother as a principal applicant?
I do qualify for bot

Actually, it is mentioned in the guidelines not to put NA, and if we enter the Given name and surname as the same names then the footer for applicant name looks different from the other forms... I asked this question to the CIC agents and I got below reply :

"For Schedule A, since you can’t validate it with the Given Name field empty, you can submit it without validating it and include a written explanation for why you had to do this. "

I am confused now, whether we shd keep Given name as blank and not validate form and provide an explanation letter
or
whether we shd enter the same name for Given name and Surname fields and validate the form and provide an explanation letter.
Any thoughts?
anyone please !!!

Would it be potentially problematic to validate a form (1344) then add (the frustrating ) CLient ID /UCI number later -writing it in of course ?

The barcode scanner won't capture it as it won't be encoded. They might notice your hand-written data and manually enter it, but it depends on the phase

Regarding form 008 ( Generic)
There is a question regarding a National Identity Document - which my folks do have ( South African )
BUT there is no expiry date of that document .
OF course we are unable to validate without an expiry date !

?Solution ? - put an expiry date x years ahead and attach a letter explaining this ?
Other options for this type of issue ?

Hi, I am single (1) and sponsoring my Grandparents (2), what should I put in column Family Size of question # 14 of Financial Evaluation IMM 5768? I think I should put 3 (me and two my Grandparents) for all three years and to present day. Or should I put 1?
