Please, i submitted my application in Tunis on tuesday 18 april 2019 and i have to travel on 25 May 2019 to present a communication in the international colloque of ACFAS as a PhD student.

To accelerate the procedure, can i add any document after the first submission?
Many thanks

It 23 days as of today for processing timeline in Tunisia. The 23days do not include the initial processing with the VAC/VFS. it starts counting from the day the embassy receive your application. Again, it may be more or lesser depending on what the visa office center's have on their desk.

Ty e-mailing the Canadian embassy through their e-mail. Send them the documents and give them a genuine reason why those documents weren't submitted with the application in the first place. Who knows? It depend on individual reasons and discretion. put your application number, date of birth and if possible a blank copy of your bio data page as attached.

According to your suggestion i sent the message below to the embassy of Canada in Tunis, hoping that they accelerate the process of Visa treatment before the date of my departure to Outaouais which is 25 May 2019.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm Fayçal BEN BRAHIM Director in the ministry of vocational training and employment in Tunisia and Phd Student in Faculté des sciences humaines et sociales de Tunis and University Nice Sophia Antipolis in France. I have to give a communication in the international congress of ACFAS in Outaouais in 27 May 2019.
So, I submitted my visa application in the tunisian Visa centre on 18 April 2019 and I didn't receive my visa until now. After the date of submission, the university of Tunis has given me the allowance (1500 Tunisian dinars) to cover the expenditures in Canada, so i think that this information could accelerate the process of visa traitement. When i have gone to the visa centre, they said to me that they can't accept any additional document after sending the application to the embassy.
By the Forum of Canada immigration, i take the recommendation to send you (attached to this mail) the "Attestation de prise en charge" and the "Ordre de Mission" hoping accelerate the obtention of my Visa.

In advance, my all thanks and best regards.
Fayçal BEN BRAHIM

okay, like I said before, who knows. on the contrary, i don't think the high commission would give your application a priority treatment? If it is in the case of medical urgency or requires quick attention, then you should be good. please take down your personal information please...

This get updated every Tuesday evening Canadian time.

Last week it was 36 days and now 45 days. The days keep fluctuating and you just have to hang in there. The day you submitted your application can't really tell the actual days of processing. Average of 46 to 55 days in the past five/six months .

It depends on countries, for example Ghana is 12 days to process.
Should also note that the processing time starts when applications have been received (at the VO from VAC), and does not include the time they take to send applications VO back to VAC, and the time for processing biometrics
