Got Biometric Letter on Same day
Biometric Submitted on April 26
Biometric updated on same day

It showing as
"Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Background check -We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Background check Final decision - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made

My sister is intended to travel on May 23 along with my parents. She is a student in India in her 3rd year of BAMS (Bachelor of Ayuerveda and Medical Science) and no travel history.

Can anyone tell me, how long it will take more from this point to get a decision ? @Bryanna

People who submitted their bios around same day are getting their PPRs. This could be your week too to get a decision.

Just wondering, has she received the Acknowledgement letter or Correspondence letter? keep checking online account.

Decision is round the corner, most probably, based on India's processing time. However, some people just received an additional email from IRCC saying that due to large volume of TRV applications, their decision is being delayed. I hope you haven't got/didn't get one!

Submission Confirmation:- 15 April 2019
Background status changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." on 16 April 2019 and few hours later got Biometric request letter
Biometrics Request:- 16 April 2019
Biometrics Submitted:- 25 April 2019 (VFS Delhi)
Biometrics Updated on Account:- 25 April 2019
Eligibility Review Started:- 06 May 2019

Hi @21singh, @myra20sharma I have pretty similar timeline! I applied for my Mother's TRV (2nd application as first application got approved in 2017 but the passport expired in January 2019 so applying for another visa)

No Updates since then. No Biometric Validity letter, No emails. Anyone else in the same boat?

Passport expiry doesn't matter. If the visa is still valid, you can use old passport with visa + new passport for travel purpose.

Passport expiry doesn't matter. If the visa is still valid, you can use old passport with visa + new passport for travel purpose.

Canada doesn't issue TRVs beyond the validity of passports. So obviously when passport expired, the TRV also expired.

Oh that's bad. I got my US visitor visa stamped for 10 years even though my passport is valid for another 2 years only. So thought Canada would have a similar rule!
