Finally I got PR yesterday!!

Apr 17: GU, DM, PPR, sent passport copy
Apr 23: Delivered to CPC Ottawa
Apr 27: Approved on GCKey
Apr 29: Return tracker activated
May 1: Received CoPR
May 4: Landed at Skagway, AK/ Fraser, BC border

A border immigration officer asked me some simple questions.
1. Did you change marital status after receiving CoPR?
2. Do you have any conviction after receiving CoPR?
3. Do you have any other dependents other than your application?
4. How much total money do you have?

1-3: I wrote "No" and my initials on CoPR, 4: I answered verbally, and wrote my signature at the bottom, then my application was granted.
He said "Congratulations!!" and shook hands!

Thank you so much for sharing lots of info of applications!!
Congratulations!! Really happy to hear that

So is it a bad sign ..if people don’t get letter?:(
No it’s not a bad sign, to be honest CIC doesn’t have exact sequence of how they process the application. I have seen some people didn’t get pre-arrival at all. Therefore, we can’t predict what criteria CIC used to process our applications

Can anybody answer my question about maternity leave during federal processing?
I will be on maternity leave soon and my federal process is on security check now, I’m still waiting for PPR. I think my employer wouldn’t want me to come back after my mat leave. My questions are-
1. Can they fire me now? We already discussed I will be on mat leave soon, but think they want to fire me.
2. If we both agree that I won’t come back after my mat leave, does it impact on landing process? Do I need another support from a different employer after my labour, so my federal process would get longer?

Im on paternity leave and i asked the province , they told me that it will not impact the process , try to apply for maternity leave or sick leave and send and email to your employer as a proof , if you agree with your employer to change emplyment it may be a problem.

Congratulations ! Jan 2018 applicants who got PPR :)

but...
In my opinion,
If you received Medical Request early (from received to MR only 4-5months) will be late...

as you know Nov, Dec 2017 applicants are still waiting for PPR.
Jan applicants have one thing in common with them, that is we got MR (April or May in 2017)
at this time, CIC sent late 2017 and Jan 2018 applicants a lot of MR

The point is
we need to extend Medical results!
others who got PPR these days DO NOT need to extend medical results.
because after Feb 2019 applicants got MR later than us. usually late 2018 or 2019

anyway,
We will be on time :)
from Jan 2018.. only 16 months now.
Let’s take a month or a couple of months.
Do not worry, Keep going with all together.

Have a good weekend guys !

As much as I respect your personal opinion. I beg to differ on the issue of medical extension for January applicants, though this may be true for some but I have a strong conviction in my heart that we are getting PPR before May end.
Congratulations to other lucky January applicants in advance.
Thank me latter.
