Sorry if this has been answered already:
My parents are in Canada until end of Aug 2019, do I still need to pay for their biometrics?

Can someone please reply to it again?
Yes. because the processing time is 48 months and they may ask biometrics at any point of time in these years

Hi I have almost the same situation as you. My parents are not divorced, but he left us 20 years ago. I decided to get an affidavit made where my mom indicates what happened. Affidavit's are legally binding even though there is no legal separation. Also, I have indicated them as legally separated in the forms and have not included him as a dependent. Lastly, we have prepared an explanation letter explaining the situation and my mom makes a solemn declaration at the end that she will never apply for PR for my father at any point in the future.

I did a lot of research in the past few years to understand the meaning behind adding spouse as dependent even if they are not accompanying you. My understanding is that IRCC requires it, and all the background checks and medicals because if they didn't, one of your parent who receive's PR may call their spouse to Canada through spousal sponsorship which does not have such hurdles as parent sponsorship. Basically, a spouse, may slip through the system even if some requirements are not satisfied, for example, they may be a burden on the healthcare system. Therefore, declaring that your parent will never sponsor their spouse should suffice along with affidavit.
I just got off the phone with an agent from cic, and he said the same thing as you. He was firm with saying that my dad should NOT be included as a dependant. And my mom’s marital status have to be legally separated because in the context of ircc guide, "legally separated" means married but are no longer living together. And the answer should be based on the real, ongoing relationship right now, not just because there’s a marriage contract binding. There is no relationship between them anymore therefore she is legally separated and my dad will not be included in the family size. Although he’s still in Additional Fam Info. And yes, the agent said a letter of explanation will suffice. But I will also have my mom get Affidavit to support the explanation, just to be safe.
It all makes sense now. Finally I can breath after being up all night stressing about it. I’m really grateful for all the response here. Thank you sooo much!!

The AOR is the make or break part. They send back your returned docs or AOR after the 60day deadline. So either you receive your documents back or you receive an AOR.
If the application is complete with all the mandatory details and the forms.
But lets say they want another/extra proof of something already provided, any clearer copy of aome document, or clarification?
Would that also beconsidered incomplete?

The initial first page should suffice but if there is personal information in the last page, then include that too.
The guideline is not asking for a copy of the entire passport page with stamps.

Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)
Question 6:
Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent.

Does anyone have the same situation as me? For the past 10 years, my parents made several trips outside of their country and each trip was less thsn 6 months, so instead of putting all of these trips in the form, I am including an additional page with the excerpt of Question 6, providing all travelling destination, duraction (all were less than 6 months), they have made over 60 trips past 10 years to 25 countries, if I am including all these, it would like crazy. Any advice? Thanks
Not the same situation but you may want to call the Call Center to check on this.

I have seen applications from PGP 2018 that they were requested to submit a Travel Form (IMM5562) later on in the middle of the processing.

My Mam is in Canada on MultiVisa third time, she usualy stay 2-3 month.
She got 2 passport from country A and country B.
She Has here Canadian Visa on Passport A.
Her Family on Passport A dont match my Family name.
Her Family on Passport B match my Family name.

Is there a problem to use Passport B for the application? or better stick to Passport A with Canadian Visa???

Thanks a lot.

Although you need to give details of both passports in Application. You can provide explanation letter about names in Passport A with Canadian Visa .

which form are you referring to? I believe you have to include sponsored in family sized for each year you declare your income and employment history.
I am referring to Financial Evaluation form IMM5768e. Different information sources of IRCC state different things about family size being the same as total number of dependents for income purpose. TO be safe, I suggest having immediate family in the table that requires three-year income and making a note that the family size does not include the person been sponsored. If they want, they can add this person themselves.

The guideline is not asking for Death Cert but we are including ours since this has been requested by IRCC to some PGP 2018 applicants (Just so not to delay the application - we need our application to be approved fast for some reason).

I guess this is proof that the person is really dead and not because the other spouse just doesn't want to include him/her in the application. We are putting this as the last page of supporting documents.
