Regarding the income tax

Hi,

I recently got a work permit and had a doubt regarding the income tax for this year. I've earned X Lakhs in India for this financial year and I will be earning XX lakhs in Canada. I understand that I will pay income tax on XX Lakhs that I earn in Canada in Canada.

Since they say that you have to pay the tax where you earn more and have a higher tax rate. Will I have to pay tax on income I earned in India in Canada as well?

You pay tax in the country where you are a tax resident when in comes to Canada.
