Why do you think your parents will have an advantage over processing times if they are here in Canada? If they want to visit, let them visit and let the course of processing take place. Take note that you have to take medical and if other requirements are asked for you and your applicants, so take that into consideration.
So suppose , if someone has already done his/her medical like 2 months ago.
what do you think ? that person has to go for medical exam again?

While applying PR for parents -
Is the processing time faster if my parents are already here in Canada on Visitor Visa (compared to if they are applying from India)?
My parents are in India, but they have a visitor visa. If the processing time is faster they can come here in Canada to apply for PR.
The processing time will remain the same as for parents sponsorship there is no separate Inland and outland application process. Unlike spousal sponsorship, that has separate inland and outland processes. So I would suggest planning accordingly, so your parents should be present in their respective home country to get their medical and biometric done when the time comes.

Hello everyone, please help me.

I have received the invitation to apply for my parents and I am currently filling out the Generic Application Form for Canada. My mother is the principal applicant. She does not live in Canada. When I enter her country of residence, the form automatically blocks her last entry to Canada data/location. She came to visit me this year. Why is it blocking me? The guideline says to add that information and does not state anything about it being blocked out if you do not live in Canada. =/ thanks for all your help.

One more rejection means one less competitor.

Why would you help your competitors?
This is not a Canadian value.

But After reading this thread some people just ask stupid questions.

So even the most kind person can and will run out of patience to people not reading the application guidelines.

As of now after you submit your application it may take many months when they ask for the medical report. From my spousal sponsorship experience, although my wife's previous medical results were fairly recent & she had to undergo new medical diagnostic. So, I suggest that when the time comes your parents will have to go through medical diagnostic. And also, the reports are directly sent from the medical centre to the Canadian visa office in your respective country.

If your mother lived with you in Canada for more than 6 months
then you can give the answer in question number 12.
If not , then you dont have to worry about her last visit.

Pls seeking urgent reply
The guide said that you must meet minimum income requirement during processing of the application from the date the IRCC receives your sponsorship application until the day your family members become PR.

Just pray to your God that your income will not be reassessed during the processing period. That’t the only thing you can do if you are on EI and no longer meet the income requirement now.

Self explanatory right?

Hi all, does anyone know whether the parents' birth certificates required for the application?
If you are only sponsoring your parents, your birth certificate is required.

If you are sponsoring your grandparents too, then your parent's birth certificates is required.

Do we need to have all the copies certified or only for the below situation?: THANKSSSS

Any document that is not in English or French (unless otherwise stated on your document checklist), must be accompanied by:
  • the English or French translation; and
  • an affidavit from the person who completed the translation (see below for details); and
  • a certified copy of the original document.

Only if you have translations.

Hello Guys,

Quick Question : my birth certificate was not in English, so I got the translation done in Canada and received the translation document and certified copy of original. Now my question is do we need to send these original documents or copy of these?
You only need to submit the translated and the certified copy.
