When the PR Is approved how soon do you have to enter Canada with the PR? When does it expire?

We have a big family celebration planned for a year from now and if it is approved before then does that mean we have to go to Canada then fly back to the UK for the family celebration?

The COPR expiry date will be the first one of either the medical examination expiry or passport expiry. You must use it by the expiry date or restart your application from the very beginning again. Once issued, the COPR expiry date will not be extended unless IRCC made an error.
