Probably April or May based on last year.

Hi All
I just got my mother lottery result.
They have asked me to apply before June 28 but i have realized that my income for 2016 is 4000 dollars short to meet the income requirement. Though i gave CIC consent to contact CRA.
What should i do? At the time of applying i did not count my mother as a head. With 4 people (me, my spouse and 2 kids) i qualify but when i add my mum as 5th person, we do not quailfy for 2016 thrashold. My income meets the requirement for 2017 and 18. Please advice.

It wasn't a lottery this year. And you had to declare that you met income requirements before submitting EOI.

So you must have declared yes. So you better submit an application no matter what.

Thank you for your reply.
So in your opinoni I should submitt the application even if my gross income is 4000 dollars short for the year 2016. My worry is that they might reject the application after doing all the hardwork

They will reject the application. You didn’t meet LICO, so you weren’t eligible to apply in the first place.

No you shouldn’t apply if you don’t fit the requirements. You will just lose your money. Triple check that you don’t meet the financial obligation each year based on your income and family size. If you don’t you shouldn’t submit an application which will be refused.

You were sure enough to declare that you met requirements when you submitted the EOI right?

You should apply because if you dont IRCC will blacklist you and you will not be selected in future.

That is not true. Nobody is being blacklisted. It is a huge annoyance that people can’t check their income even if they signed that they had checked and meet the income requirement for 3 years. No point applying if you are sure you don’t meet LICO for 2016. You will waste resources processing your application and you will also lose money.

Up to you who you want to listen to.

If you dont apply there is of course no chance whatsoever.

If you apply and they reject then you lose some money at worst.

Your call.
