It has been 16 days now and there is no update. I read somewhere that usually rejections are done in initial 8-10 days. What should i expect?. The current processing time mentioned on the CIC website is 24 days (this time was updated on 19th April and is updated once a week).

Posting times published on the IRCC website are only estimates i.e. as a guide. Actual processing can take much longer.
How long or fast it takes for processing does not indicate an approval nor a refusal
if they want to reject they will reply you in 2 days if it take long then chances of approval.

Okay! But I have also read, some people got PPR same day they got this letter. Someone wrote, they got PPR after 5 mins of this letter.

i dont have any idea of this i got correspondence letter yesterday and today i got rejection letter

I am really sorry to hear that! You can apply again. Whatever is the reason of rejection, just work on that. Attach more documents if needed, it won't take that long as you already have biometrics done. So that part is covered.

PPR - 24th April. So happy, my mother can finally come here to visit us. Thank you all for your suggestions and support!
