Proof of contact

Hi everyone,

So it seems cic updated the proof of contact a tiny bit. Any form of contact through phone, text, email and social media must be provided.

Translation to either English or french are required now for any forms of text message or communication via social media.

I'm running into an issue that most translator services cannot translate my language into English.

IRCC updated that you need to translate all copies to English or French if your text messages or any forms of text from communicating with your spouse is in your foreign language.

I've contact a few translating services and they could not translate my documents to English due to my foreign language is not common. What should I do?

this is my problem with the whole thing. why on earth would they need conversations translated when everyone's dialect and slangs are so different. have you tried Docbase?

You have to get it translated. What language is this? Maybe someone here knows of a translator.

this is my problem with the whole thing. why on earth would they need conversations translated when everyone's dialect and slangs are so different. have you tried Docbase?

This is a new requirement that may help streamline their process due to past difficulties with ' dialects and slangs '.
We know it doesn't make it any easier..........Just comply and do what they ask.
In my area if your English is not good it would be difficult to survive.

my application was received in March. I did comply and provided translations. The translator had a hard time with the task as the slang we use to communicate is hard to understand and interpret. I understand that it makes it easier for IRCC but for the applicant it becomes more work and money.

Yes immigration isn't ' cheap or easy '.
What are you willing to do to be together with your loved one?
That is what's important.

of course. I will do what it takes, but I still have the right to voice my frustration with the process.

You have to get it translated. What language is this? Maybe someone here knows of a translator.

Yes I know you have to get it translated but most translation services can't even translate my language to English. If anyone on here knows someone who can certified translate the language Hmong to English. Please let me know!

I totally agree with you, anyone would do what it takes to get this job done right exactly how IRCC wants. But its the frustration of finding a service that can provide you what you need.
