As a surprise shock I saw Ghost update on my profile. After opening I found that additional document was changed from Uploaded to Not Applicable.
Not sure what does this mean.
AOR 8th Oct. CEC Inland.
Anybody else with same ghost update?

Actually that was a 'real' update and not a ghost update. A ghost update is when you see application updated and after opening it, there is no update at all, nothing changed

Hi All,

Received a Ghost update today saying Application/Profile updated.
When I logged in I see no update to my profile.

All my stages were cleared and only Security had Status as Not started as per GCMS notes

Status as of March 24th was
AOR date is 8th Oct.
Medical assed
Status: Recommend Pass
Security : Not started

Was waiting for my PPR

Help will be appreciated.

This ghost update could either mean all checked have been passed or your application has been approved

Sent an email and got this response that has saddened me:

Dear Onyeka - I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Oct 6, 2018. It is at the case Processing Center in Ottawa.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Eligibility is met.

Criminality was launched in November – your spouse’s are passed, yours are in progress.

Security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Oct 2019.

Eligibility is the greatest hurdle, since it is passed, the rest will not take much time.

Also, pls who did you send the mail to?

Almost same as you, ghost update today, everything passed except security not started
we cannot know what is going on, just pray for PPR to arrive soon... but this is definitely great news !!! I am trying to call right now, to know if I passed security... I still have to wait 30 minutes

Sorry but can you please let me know on how do we find out if we have a ghost update ??

My profile only says submitted all the time.

I got the Application/Profile Updated.

I also got a profile updated on 8th march and I opened my profile it showed that i have reached IP2. Is that ghost update ?

No it’s not. That’s update of moving to ip2. Ghost update won’t have any changes to your profile at all.
