My application deadline is Saturday - if I post on Friday with Saturday delivery via UPS or Fedex, will someone be there to sign for it on Saturday? And, Is that signature sufficient to prove I submitted the application on time?

Also is UPS or fedex generally better here in Canada.

(The address is:

Many thanks.

Many thanks. One more question if I may - the form asks me whether I’ve ever previously applied to enter or stay in Canada. I came here from the U.K. for a week’s holiday 12 years ago - does that count as having previously applied to enter? (You didn’t need a visa or even a visa waiver at that time IIRC.)

Thanks once again.

Sadly I didn’t read the reply in time and my application to extend my visit was mailed and arrived Saturday, as confirmed above it was not signed for on Saturday and will be now delivered Monday 1st April.

I entered Canada on 30th September 2018 and need to apply to extend within 6 months. Will they classify the mail received on Monday as having missed the deadline, and if so are they strict about the deadline.

Many thanks once again.
