I had added my wife to my application before coming on PR and made her as non-accompanying. In the process of adding my wife to my application they asked for medical and PCC. after that i came to Canada on PR and then applied for spousal sponsorship and below is my timeline.

Outland sponsorship application
app received(Sydney, Nova Scotia) :- 15th Jan 2019
AOR:- 5th march 2019
file transferred to Mississauga:- 20 march 2019

question:-
1) how fast is this office in application process?
2) i did not got any SA yet? will i get that ever? where will i get it, over e-mail or through post or in CIC account? how will i approve it?
3) what are the further steps in the application process?
4) in CIC account its showing background check in process? Is this the last step?

Let me know if i am missing anything.
Thank you. Cheers.

1. It's considered the fastest office. But there's no guarantee for the speed.
2. Usually you get SA first then it gets transferred. So even if you didn't get SA it no longer matters now because you are already transferred to CPC-Missisaugua. Usually it's sent through email. You can use sponsor's info to log into your ECAS to double check, if it says "Decision Made" on sponsor's side, then it means you already got SA.
3. PPR/DM. Could also get further request of more document if unfortunately they have some doubts.
4. Passing Eligibility+Background Check=DM. One of the essential steps.

Has anyone whose file has been transferred to Mississauga received the biometrics request. Does anyone has any idea how much time the Mississauga office takes to process the application (Spouse in India)

AOR2 is not a necessary step now these days, especially for mississauga cases. Next necessary step will be PPR/DM. Could also get further request/interview for more document if unfortunately they have some doubts.

I just noticed today that the application status on gckey has changed to "submitted", a day after medical passed. Wonder what that means.

Would u happen to know why the file got transferred to Missisauga visa office , the applicant is in India. Isn’t the file suppose to be transferred to New Delhi visa office for visa ?

How are they able to provide visa from Mississauga office when PA lives in India and applies from India to Sydney, Nova Scotia

PA will submit passport to a vac india anf they will stamp a visa. Mississauga will do the paper work. You should be happy it went to Mississauga and not New Delhi.

Jan 14 applicant and in same boat. Frustating. They don't tell anything at all. Just that we have the application. Seem to be happening with Jan 14 and 15 applicants only (including me there are 3 applicants who have not received AOR)
I am Jan 24 and still waiting for AOR
