Thanks

No points are awarded for one year of undergraduate study. This means you completed some studies towards a diploma or degree but your studies are not the equivalent of actually having completed a diploma or degree.

You need to clarify what this one year is. Was it a multi-year program (e.g. a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree) of which you only completed one year? If so, then you won't get anything, and will only be eligible for the 28 points awarded for high school diploma (assuming you have done that).

If the program itself was a 1-year diploma or certificate which you completed (and can be demonstrated by this certificate) then you can claim 84 points under the category of, "One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute."

Here is the thing:

I sent two education degree to WES for evaluation and the assessment report which I have received are like this

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Bachelor's degree (three years)

1. Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (three years)
2. Canadian Equivalency: One year of undergraduate study

So my question is should I get point for Two or more certificate or Bachelor's degree only?

Thanks

Bachelor only. Again, no points are awarded for one year of undergraduate study.

Hi experts,

I got my WES report it says:

Canadian Equivalency - Bachelors Degree (four years)

1 - Canadian Equivalency - Bachelors (Four years)
2 - Canadian Equivalency - Completion of second undergraduate major

So can i claim points under "two or more post secondary degree or diploma..." or i can claim points only for Bachelor's degree....

Sorry, you have to claim Bachelor. You claim what they wrote as Canadian Equivalency.

CIC will get the report, but frankly, it won't matter. The Canadian equivalency at the top is what you will get credit for.

Once again, it all depends on how WES assesses your diploma. You need to get your education assessed before you will know the answer.

Hi Scylla,

Could you please explain the case if I have an undergraduate certificate plus my bachelor degree ?

Thanks a lot :)
Hi I have same equivalency as yours. Undergraduate certificate(One year) and bachelor's degree( four years). Do you think it is two or more for express entry?

I'm still doing my undergraduate degree, but as I understood from the forum here it's considered two or more as long as it's recognized by WES.
Both degrees should be post secondary school, thus, undergraduate level is accepted
