SURNAME : PLAYED IMPORTANT ROLE OR NOT

Dear Sir,

I need your help.

I am having surname in all my educational qualification certificates and passport too, I want my son to be study and settle down in Canada in future. Now my question is
1) If in future my son sponsored me or my wife to canada. That time, Is surname played a role in this matter or not.
2) So refer to the above said question, i have to add surname with my son schools records or not?

I would clarify that as soon as possible. Speaking as a high school teacher; this is this kind of thing that confuses the system and takes ages to fix up during school.

In the western world we use surnames..get it sorted ASAP to prevent issues in the future.
