Thats not true. North york is dealt by Scarborough which is closer to it

Maybe depends on where u live. Because i called CIC and they told me that my local IRCC is in Mississauga.

Due to overload in Mississauga some applications are sent to Scarborough and some are in Mississauga. North York dose not have local IRCC office that handles Citizenship applications.

I live in Whitby, had my interview at the Scarborough office (which is the closest office) however, I had the Oath Ceremony in Mississauga. They also have "pop-up" ceremonies at non-immigration offices, as another poster in the forum that lives in Whitby had their Oath at Casa Loma. Our Oath dates were about 2 weeks apart.
